We haven’t been to Gianni’s for a very long time, but returned tonight. It’s time to make this one of our regular outings again. The food and service both are top shelf!!! It was great to see a hostess we recognized from “way back when”. The chef has a knack for food preparation and seasoning, and I’m sure you’ll develop a list of favorites. Give this place a shot.

I wasnt going to post this but...My husband attended here on business and loved the food so my family and I went there on May 27th at 7pm and before we could reach the door we were met by the bus boy saying that they were closed- Which in fact they didn't close until 9:30 that nightMy husband asked why? and he couldn't give us a straight answerMy husband then said but it says you close at 9:30pm why are you closing now- No reply just closed the doorYes there were people inside- I'm still trying to figure out why(it was 5 of us)So we left and went to Ameci in Middletown where we were welcomed by the hostess sat down and ate some delicious food-

I wasnt going to post this but...My husband attended here on business and loved the food so my family and I went there on May 27th at 7pm and before we could reach the door we were met by the bus boy saying that they were closed- Which in fact they didn't close until 9:30 that nightMy husband asked why? and he couldn't give us a straight answerMy husband then said but it says you close at 9:30pm why are you closing now- No reply just closed the doorYes there were people inside- I'm still trying to figure out why(it was 5 of us)So we left and went to Ameci in Middletown where we were welcomed by the hostess sat down and ate some delicious food-

Ok so after reading some positive facebook comments-we went tonight to order and take a pizza to go. Well lets just say we were pleasantly surprised with the inside. So quaint and a great Friday night date night feel. We ended up dining in. Bread and oil dip omg amazing. Rhode island clam chowder amazing! Carbonara was delicious and my husband got the peppered ribeye. For an Italian spot the steak was not horrible and the portion was big. Their prices are very reasonable and we both have leftovers. Our waitress was fabulous- i wish i could remember her name- but i will definitely catch it next time. Thanks everyone for the comments- we just moved to the area . This is a great find.

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. No rave reviews or dissatisfaction on the dishes. Adequate portions and reasonably priced. Service was average, with maybe a little bit of a wait on the food. The owner recommends making a reservation for dinner. I think it helps them staff adequately.

I just called to ask for a reservation the guy that picked up was very rude I was planning on taking my girlfriend there and he was extremely rude and didn't give me a chance to talk and hung up terrible experience that's not how you want a business treating people like that you guys should be ashamed
My experience ... called to find out what time they RE -OPEN after their lunch break ... the guy that answered began with .... "What do you want " Good start ? Asked our Waitress if they had a Malbec ... she had no idea what I was asking for. Ordered the Ravioli ... mistake. Store bought served in a thin watery tomato sauce. The Salad ... a plate of bitter over sized greens with a single limp plum tomato. I ordered a Whiskey sour and what was dropped on the table in front of me was a half full glass of liquid that resembled a settled glass of apple cider. It tasted a lot worse than it looked. In any case, I will never return. May I suggest ... an Owner with a PERSONALITY, a Waitress who if doubles for a BARTENDER ... learn how to make a basic drink and have some knowledge of wines. A menu that includes fresh / home made products. Would have left after the salad if were not with another couple.I rated this a one star because there was no less an option. To anyone reading ... want QUALITY .. drive over the hill to Middletown ... Fiore II or Sicily.
Excellent service and very good food! Was able to grab a quick lunch that was notably good! Prices were fair for the food quality and service! Would definitely recommend!!

We've eaten here three times. The fact is, the owners seem peaceful and the food is excellent. Great traditional Italian food. Fair prices for large portions. Where the problem is is the sole server: she presents her bill to you and it looks like a child's version of a Rorschach ink test: you'll need an other worldly upbringing to grasp its nuances. You'll also need an accountant to explain to you how $4 beer becomes $7 beer without warning. Considering you've already consumed your order and they have this anngry waitress telling you that "Imported beer isn't $7 dollars" in a tone that is both withering contempt and boiling rage, what choice have you? Then there's the other patrons, some of whom raked my Asian wife over the coals for even bringing this to the waitress' attention. That was not fun.. We ended up afraid for our well-being. Another couple was turned away at the front door despite there being many tables available. You can come to your own conclusions. Tell you what folks, the best thing you ever did was drive over to Middletown and try one of the dozen Italian restaurants there.....because this joint is only for certain people.

Had dinner with my wife and we loved it . The waiter was a great guy so he was tipped generously. 2 days later I picked up2 small pizzas and they were delicious! Need to stop by more often ??Parking: Front and side parkingWheelchair accessibility: Front and side doors

Believe the reviews about a grumpy and rude old man. We called to inquire about ordering a pizza and the older man on the phone literally said “we don’t do that bye” and hung up on us. We could’ve ordered something else…. Just plain rude. Shocking. We def won’t be trying them.
