K LaMay's Steamed Cheeseburgers

We went in to order and the Maloney football team had just made their way inside. Knowing it would be crazy we put our orders in and waited because it’s always been worth the wait. They were SLAMMMED and all employees handled the rush like rock stars. We got our take out order and the owner felt bad because of the long wait they went out of their way to comp the meals completely to our surprise. Fantastic food, fantastic new owners, can’t wait to return. Thank you!

They make the best chicken nuggets i have ever had in my life! They were crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I actually called my mother to tell her how incredible they were. We are a chicken tender, chicken cutlet, chicken 🐔 loving family all the way back to Sicily. In the realm of chicken nuggets no one has anything on this little gem of a restaurant 😋
My husband had the steak and cheese smothered in caramelized onions. We shared the tater tots and I had to have a bite of one of their famous burgers too. The patty is tender, flavorful and unique. The cheese is real Wisconsin white cheddar and lots of it! I thought they mixed up the order because steamed real cheese looks like scrambled eggs. But no, it was heaps of tender cheesy goodness. He loved his steak and cheese sandwich too.This place is a 10 out of 10, no notes. The staff were polite and the service was fast 🏃‍♀️ I want to tell the world 🌎 I am a chef and my inner child just had the best chickie nuggies ever!

I had their cheeseburger with Onions and mustard and ketchup. It was the best cheeseburger I have ever had. Amazing and cooked perfectly. And the Cheese fries are amazing and delicious. I would recommend this to anyone in the area.

K Lamay’s Steamed Cheeseburgers is a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Meriden! I got the steamed cheeseburger and fries, and everything was spot on. The burger was incredibly juicy and loaded with rich, melty aged Wisconsin sharp cheddar cheese that took it to another level—unlike anything you get from a regular burger joint. You can really taste the difference in quality.

The fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned—great on their own or paired with the burger. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

If you’re looking for a unique and delicious burger, this is the place. Five stars all the way!

It was delicious, but I was expecting more. The burger was undersized in relation to the bun. I was disappointed. The staff were friendly and the location was clean. The cheese made the sandwich. it was unlike any I've ever had on a cheeseburger.

Very unique very different. Not a classic cheeseburger. But juicy tender meat amazing bun. They put aged white cheddar on. So if that’s not your thing ask for American. Service is Amazing and this is a must try.

The staff were friendly and generous. The food was amazing. As a tourist who understands that steamed cheeseburgers are a Connecticut delicacy, I have tried both Ted’s and Lamay’s, and Lamay’s is definitely my preference.
