Catered food for my wedding here. Got me and my friends sick. Ending up puking when I got home and stomach was sick for the next few days.

Sheer waste of money. Took out food from here after maybe a year or two. The taste is so bland. Chowmein was just okayish no flavors and schezwan chicken tasted like tikka flavor. Like seriously. Why add chinese menu if you can't make it taste like it. Samosa chaat looked like a mushy mixture. Very much disappointed.

The food was incredibly delicious. My husband and I had an appetizer and a dish each, and it was crispy when intended, flavorful, and satisfying. We're very much looking forward to going again.

Food is excellent! The place could use a bit more light and cleaning. I wish Pakistani restaurants would pay some attention to the ambiance.

We catered our son’s wedding events with Roti Boti. I spent 2 years communicating with the owner, Mr Khaleel. He is professional, honest and great in his follow through and commitments. His food is amazing and can be modified for spices and food allergies. I highly recommend him and his business!

Employees are extremely rude. They treat their guests as if their guests are an inconvenience. Horrible attitudes. Connecticut has much better Indian restaurants than this.
The food its good very good.

As someone who knows the owner of Roti Boti Restaurant personally and has visited many times, I feel the need to share a different perspective.
This restaurant has consistently shown warmth, hospitality, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. The owner, Khalil, and his team go above and beyond to serve their guests, and it’s disheartening to see a situation like this misrepresented publicly.
Anyone who frequents this place knows it’s a family-friendly environment. I’ve seen the staff accommodate families with young children regularly with patience and kindness. I wasn’t present during the incident mentioned, but I know Khalil well enough to say he wouldn’t intentionally insult a customer or their child.
Sometimes misunderstandings happen—especially in busy settings—but labeling the entire restaurant negatively based on one encounter doesn’t do justice to the years of great service they’ve provided to the community.

We will not be returning to Roti Boti Restaurant in Meriden or West Haven—and honestly, if you have kids, you shouldn’t either.
What is it with Pakistani restaurants thinking customer service doesn’t matter?
We’ve been loyal customers for over seven years, visiting nearly every Sunday with our two young kids. The food has always been hit or miss—sometimes stale, and more than once the kababs have been undercooked. We kept going because it’s one of the few Pakistani spots in the state.
But today crossed a line.
Our toddler barely touched his food. Our one-year-old spilled a bit of water and rice—totally normal for a baby learning to eat. We were already cleaning up with napkins and had stepped out to the car when Khalil came outside to confront us.
He told us to “get a grip” on our son, called him “spoiled,” and said “no one would want him around”—all while our toddler was quietly sitting and watching Ms. Rachel. When I explained the baby was the one eating, Khalil doubled down, insulting our son again. (Yes, this was in Urdu.)
We’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants across the world with our kids and have never been treated like this.
Ironically, Khalil admitted it was the new waitress with the white glasses who had an issue—she didn’t like cleaning up a bit of spilled water. If that’s the case, maybe invest in cups with lids instead of insulting people’s children.
We’re done. The food isn’t worth the disrespect. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—especially families.
Everything about this place just makes you feel at home. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious! I highly recommend the Butter Chicken, Chicken Kabab, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Chops, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Will definitely be returning when I’m in the area again.
I ordered Uber eats with note for fork & napkins, got neither. The food was delicious, more than i expected. The saag paneer is definitely worth ordering again, but i didn't expect it to come without rice. I'm glad i ordered naan (good portion) but menu should specify if an item is a side or a proper entree. I also had veggie samosas which are my new favorite. Delicious restaurant!!!
