Swung by late on Friday night and I couldn't believe how awesome the food and hospitality was! I believe the owners name was William, but what a guy! Baseball on the TV, everything made fresh and he handled my questions like a true gentlemen!

As a new Meriden resident, my neighbor recommended Sazón Con Fuego Dominican Restaurant—and wow, it did not disappoint! The owner and his son were so welcoming and funny, which made the visit even better.Also, VERY CLEAN restaurant.
I tried the Pernil over black rice with veggies, pork, chicken, and a fried egg—seasoned perfectly with that crispy skin on the side (if you know, you know). I also had steak with fall-off-the-bone barbecue ribs over flavorful yellow rice with olives. Everything was incredible! The yuca and Dominican raspberry soda topped it all off perfectly.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and wonderful people. I’ll definitely be back!

Called in for take out and the gentleman who answer the phone was super polite! Ive watched this diner turn over numerous times while growing up! I hope this is Sazon con fuego home for a very long time! William hats off Sir!! Hands down the best Mofongo I've ever had! Cannot wait to go back and try something else off the menu!

Customer service here was horrible from the minute we walked in . The owner , chef or whatever he is had an attitude . We overlooked it and still ordered, since we were coming from far . When we asked for the menu , he didn’t want to show us . Telling us to order what we came there for (had no idea what he was referring to ) When the food was ready and we went to pay he wouldn’t sell It to us unless we took a bite . At that point we felt like he was trying to play us so we left . I would never recommend this place.

I’m always on the hunt for a good Chimi and this is definitely on my top 3. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the spice was on point. I sampled the fries and I’ll say don’t skip them, absolutely delicious. Gracias por el servicio y la atención.

Ugh! Food was A1! Nice to see our fellow NYC people here in CT! The waitress Dee was super personable she made us feel like family! The jugo de tamarindo! Was soo good my husband loved the arroz Amarillo and garlic grilled chicken delicious he ate the plate almost! lol thanks for having us we will be back! Oh and the tostones were fresh and crunchy!!
