If I could leave a 10 star I would! My daughter has been searching for some delicious, savory, well seasoned soul food and we found the place! Everything was nice and hot and fresh, the corn bread was so moist it melted in my mouth! God bless the person that cooked it, it was definitely made with love! I am so happy we found you. I had the whiting fish and my daughter had the sticky chicken with mac and cheese and the yams omG so so delicious. 🤤 can’t wait to try the rest. Looking forward to trying the sweet potato cornbread.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would !!!! We travel often for work and always have a hard time finding good home cooked meals but this place isn't disappoint EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection we actually ate there 3 days in a row an would have e the forth is it wasn't closed on Mondays lol we ordered the large crispy pork chop dinner with cabbage, Mac an cheese an a large side of collard greens it was so good we went back an ordered the same thing the next day an ordered banana pudding an OH MY GOODNESS hand down the best I've ever ate !!!!! Then we decided to switch it up an we got the bbq chicken with potato salads needless to say absolutely everything was spot on !!!! An the atmosphere it great u know as soon as u walk in the door it's a family owned business and they put as much love in everything they cook as they have for one another !!!!

Service was impeccable, food 10/10 brang me back to my mommas house and that you can't get unless your at your mommas house eating . There music was on point and I just wait to eat there again and they bring you back with the fresh koolaid . Thankyou lady's that was there for your beautiful service.

Stopped here because it smelled so good from outside— it was a great decision. Food was pipping hot, delicious, and pretty quick. We were amazed by the portion size as we bought only 1 meal and split it between the two of us. The staff was lovely and the facility was the perfect vibe. Liked it so much we had to get more to go for later.

We don’t live out here, but if we’re ever in the area again, we’re definitely coming back!

Been in Meriden 5/6 years and been looking for some yummy soul food. And this place hit every spot. First time there.
Flavored the homemade taste like mama was in the kitchen hit home.
The owner asking is how the food as we finished eating made it so comfortable.
Cozy place to seat and eat too.
Again every single thing we got was good!!

Everything was SO good. It didn’t even make it to the picture! I got the fried catfish, Mac, greens, yams, and cornbread 100/10!!! The cornbread was so soft and fluffy like cake, DELICIOUS. The mac and greens are the best I’ve EVER gotten from any soul food restaurant here in CT. Don’t walk, RUN down here and get you some.

Fast, friendly service! I these people are booked and busy at work bc their food is so good! I recommend online order or stopping by, not calling!

We got the fried chicken, fried shrimp, mac, greens and potato salad…They definitely put their foot in it!!
