I ordered food from Ted's and I really liked the steamed hamburgers. I also ordered some onion rings, and an Oreo shake. The shake was really good It is the best hamburger I have eaten. It is because it is minus the grease. I would recommend this place so I give it 5 stars.

I wanted to love these steamed burgers, but I didn't. I got a double black and blue. And we also tried the Hawaiian five-o. First off, the service was fine. Basically, our decision all came down to the meat. It was like eating a fat meatball with zero flavor to the meat. Everything else had taste, the buns, cheese, and other toppings.
Prepare for the cheese fun! Thoroughly enjoyed my first steamed cheeseburger where each bite resulted in how far can the cheese string ?

Just check my profile pic. I dig burgers. I usually walk away saying, “we do a better burger at home.” Not this time! The flavor and juiciness of the ultra thick patty are allowed to shine here. Interestingly, you don’t miss the carmelized bark of a smash burger giving it texture or even the lack of a buttered toasted bun (usually a cardinal sin in my book). That comes from the subtle pops of fresh crisp LTO and pickles. The kicker is that glob of white cheddar oozing over the whole thing. I thought it was mozz! I ordered the double everything and I don’t even like mustard! But because the juices joined the condiments in soaking into that super soft steak roll bun I hardly minded. Easy top 5 burgers all time.

Central Connecticut is known for its unique means of burger preparation, steaming. I was a skeptic going into it, but now I’m a believer. There’s truly something unique going on here, and I hope this institution and regional cuisine continues on for generations

I went last year and cheeseburger was alright and garlic fries were great. I went today and girl working was having a moment. Besides slamming everything I got the end of the tomato and wilty lettuce on a dry burger. The garlic fries she gave me were under the lamp not just out of fryer which is ok but the Parmesan garlic mix didn’t adhere to fries. Both were tasteless and for the amount they charge shouldn’t. Another place where back in the day they were good and now just living off past accolades.
