The quality of the food is pretty good. It has some flavor, not too explosive though. The staff is really friendly and fun and homey. I really enjoy the environment though, it has a good old school rock type of restaurant.
Been coming here for years now, always great music, great food, and the only problem I’ve ever had was the huge line in front of us!
Always great food and service
It was good. The meatloaf burger was melt in your mouth delicious. The drinks are decent. The waitress was a little different to say the least but it was enjoyable.
The food was terrible what a disappointment!! 70 dollars a waste of money.would not go back
Friendly staff and delicious food. I would return if I was in the area
Very unfortunate that I have to write this review because I was expecting something very different. This sadly has been my worst restaurant experience in years. We had tickets at eight for Haunting at the Ridge about three minutes away. After looking at the menu, we decided to come here for dinner. I was very excited because of all the great menu options.
The service was terrible from the start all around. We arrived at 6:15. There was two people in front of us. The hostess acknowledged us, but never took our name. A few minutes later, other people started coming in and she started taking their names and asking them if they wanted to sit outside. She never gave us that option. One of the people came in and started to debate whether or not they wanted to wait 20 minutes. She told them ”You can stay or go, it doesn’t matter to me.” I should have known right there to leave. We were seated at 6:30 which was not a bad wait. 6:45 our orders were taken. Our waitress did not come back to the table one time after bringing our drinks. Never checked on us, never let us know what was going on with the food. She came back at 7:28 with our appetizer. We asked her how long would it take for the rest of our food. She apologized and said it would be another 20 to 25 minutes. I didn’t understand how burgers take over an hour to make. We canceled the rest of the order.
I was excited about the hotdog. Another letdown. It was cold when I got it and the chili on top had no flavor. I’m not even sure if it was deep-fried. Definitely not worth the $14.50 price. I will say the fries were very good. They were the only bright spot of the night. They have a lot to offer, but I would never come back here due to my experience.

Short staffed but a little slow, but that was okay. The food was great. I would definitely go here again.

We met up with another friend before heading out to an event; we limited our visit to the bar and one beverage.
The owner (behind the tap) could not have been more gracious and the clientele ever so friendly. One could tell, the patrons were regulars and there was a friendly atmosphere, which was very inviting and this made the setting quite comfortable for a newcomer.
Though we had just one drink, the food being served looked tasty and looking forward to a return trip so we can order from the diverse menu.

I rarely post reviews online and have never reviewed a restaurant. But having had yet another outstanding meal at Blackbird Tavern, I think the time has come. So where to begin? Let’s start with the ambiance. This place has cool stuff everywhere you look, including classic rock photos and posters. As for the service, it is top notch. The servers are warm, efficient, knowledgeable, and seemingly enjoying their work. This contributes a great deal toward a positive dining experience. As does their Blood Orange Sangria, which packs a bigger punch than you would think. But the big story here is the food. We have had items from all over the menu, everything from the salads to the quesadillas to the lobster roll to the wings. The portions are large, the food is delicious, and the prices are fair. The fries are without doubt the best around and more than a little addictive. And oh, those burgers! I’ve been around 70+ years and don’t think I’ve had a better burger, ever. So there you have it. My first restaurant review. I’ve lived in CT for the past 17 years and only wish I had discovered the Blackbird sooner.

It’s an oldie vibe, more a bar style. We brought our family. It was delicious, fries are awesome. We were surprised how small it felt inside though. But overall food was great so we’d come back. But i would recommend this place more to my older buddies for a night out in the town.
