Had reservations but was completely ignored and had to walk through the restaurant to find someone to help us. Waited another 15 minutes for a waitress to come over. Ordered a burger that must have gone through the deflavorizer, I didn’t think you could screw up a burger but I was wrong. The waitress never came back to see if we needed anything or to ask how the food was, so i had to flag her down for the check. If you want to wait forever to eat sawdust with rude service, this is the place to go!

HORRIBLE staff experience definitely don’t recommend if you want to have a positive experience at dinner. I ordered an Espresso martini, had finished it and then put an order in for a lemon drop martini. The manager brought over our food and I had just double checked with him (very nicely and considerate of them being understaffed) that the martini I ordered was put in, considering it was 15 minutes later. A few minutes later, I saw the bartender screaming at our waitress how “the b at this table is bing about how the martini is taking long, she can wait for her martini, I have a full bar.” I immediately told the manager who said he would comp my meal. I said he absolutely did not have to do that, that’s not what I was looking for.. But then ended up NOT comping my meal. The staff overall is very overwhelmed (which is so understandable) but also extremely rude (which is NOT understandable). I have worked in restaurants before and have also been very overwhelmed but have NEVER acted like this towards guests) Side note: the food was amazing. But definitely not worth this experience.

The 4 of us all had different meals all were very good. The menu is on the small side with no specials when we were there. The inside was nice and stylish. The outside was old and worn looking. There was quality live music. The hours seem to be short for a restaurant and bar (9:30). In all we would go back.

Don’t eat here! Went with friends last night for dinner and there was a wedding below the restaurant. Little kids running up down and around the restaurant screaming instead of staying at the wedding venue. I asked the bartender if I could speak to the manager, she said he wasn’t there. Place around the restaurant looked terrible as well. No wonder there was only one other couple eating there. I will never go back! Too bad too because bartenders and waitresses were really nice but probably will soon lose their jobs because no one will eat there.

Reserved for a party of 10. As we walked through the door, a musty odor greeted us. We were seated in a dark corner. Noticing no other patrons in the restaurant. We thought - Wow! Beat the rush as they advertised “Live Music”.
Our waitress, we will call her “K”.
“K” greeted us and took our drink order. After a few minutes, she came with tray carrying the drinks and started passing them out, one by one. When it came to bring my daughter in law her drink, “K” went to put the drink down, the rest of the tray of drinks went down my back. Yes 2 full beers and a coke. I was soaked! My daughter in law who was seated next to me, she was wet, my husband shoes got wet and now we all smelled like beer!
All “K” could say was “that has never happened to me before” and left to grab napkins to clean up the mess. I sat shocked about what had just happened. When “K” arrived back with the napkins, she went straight to cleaning the beer off the floor, instead of helping her customer or even giving me an “I’m sorry”. I was helped up by my daughter in law/daughter and was taken to the bathroom. “K” never checked on me and according to my family still at the table, none of the employees seemed concerned about me at all. Never brought me anything to help. No towel! No napkin! The waitresses were worried about moping up the drinks and changing the table cloth. Not once did anyone checked on me! My son brought me a t-shirt from his car and I cleaned up the best I could with the toilet paper and roll of paper towels in the bathroom. We totally get accidents do occur. No one seriously hurt. So we stayed. we asked for our table to be moved and that’s when “K” apologized to me. “Sorry”, a good 15/20 min after the incident. As my soaked purse and shirt sits on the floor by my side on napkins from the table …No manager checked on me… this was a disaster and I was still soaked!
As I sat in wet pants, in my son’s t-shirt, we continued our dinner. My husband ordered the chicken parm. When it arrived, it was hot and tasted pretty good UNTIL he hit the spoiled chicken! The chicken had an off, almost (rusted) metallic flavor - he swallowed some and spit out the second mouthful. Could not believe it! As a “thoughtful” (joke) gesture, they comped us the drinks she spilled on me and the disgusting chicken dish!
I am very disappointed in the way these people treat their patrons. I am disgusted that they would serve spoiled chicken! And in the end, there was no live music.
I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. And if “K” reads this - shame on you for not getting me a towel or checking on me.

Went to brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was very slow, so it made the very slow service that much more annoying. The food took an incredibly long time to come, and when it did, it was COLD. The eggs, potatoes and English muffins... everything. My friend sent hers back and they cooked a new meal for her. The two friends that ordered bagels and smoked salmon waited twice as long for their food and it didn't need to be cooked!!! No apology, nothing... I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone

Went to Fire at the Ridge for M-Day Brunch. Service was attentive and friendly. Buffet spread was delicious! We felt so welcome and left with a food coma. Can’t wait to come back for another event.

The Mother's Day brunch was fantastic. Our first time for the brunch at fire at the ridge and it won't be our last. Price was good for the amount of and variety of food offered. The bonus was a complementary champagne to all the moms. Well done!

Our experience at Fire at the Ridge in Middlefield, CT was simply fantastic! We rented a fire pit and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while indulging in some amazing food. Let me tell you, the burrata bruschetta was out of this world - it's easily one of the best things I've ever eaten! Pairing it with a pumpkin beer in the fall was pure heaven, especially with good friends by my side. If you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy delicious food, and soak in the autumn vibes, Fire at the Ridge is the place to be.-Marisa Balletti-Lavoie

The place was just about empty on a Saturday night, but the service was great, as well as the food. My only complaint would be that the menu is extremely limited compared to what it used to be.
