Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

This place used to be one of my favorites years ago when I wirk nearby. Would goto lunch there practically once a week. Last 2 times I ordered shrimp fried rice, it tasted great as always, but this time they added shrimp on top of the rice to make you think - wow!, it's loaded. Only to find out that the rest of the rice had No Shrimp whatsoever.. a let down. Not sure, if I trust ordering there again? The taste of the food i gotwas very good and their service always courteous, but they skimped on the shrimp big time. Bad play.

They try so hard in every way..Food is very affordable. And portions are large.With a vast menu.Best Chinese food I've ever had.If you are considering this place?You won't be disappointed.

The Great Wall is our place to go for carry out. They are always fast, friendly and consistently we get great food. We have a chinese carry out closer to home, but we love Great Wall. I highly recommend them.

Great value at this place. Good portions. Flavoring was o k. Definitely not a sit down restaurant. The crab ragoon was bland, the tasty egg rolls made up for that. Steamed dumplings were on point, with a great sauce.

Friendly and fast service. Little disappointed by how bland my fried wonton and egg rolls are. I know most folks drown these in sauce so to them it probably doesn't matter. The general tso's is VERY sweet and only a little spicy. And my "fried" dumplings seem like they were steamed and then showed what a frying pan looks like. The white rice is great, it's amazing how much white rice can vary. Generally typical basic Chinese food.Maybe I got my hopes up because of the high rating and the large amount of customers who came in right at opening today. I just happened to be in the area and like trying random Chinese places since my favorite place closed.The food is good quality and satisfying, just not made to my tastes. I'd give this place another shot next time I'm in middletown, but I would skip the fried stuff and specifically request my general tso's to be spicier and with less sugar.
