The detail that brings my family in consistently is that it is a standard meat you can order any of their many offerings with. Kudos for that idea ! Note: They are no longer at 50 Rapallo avenue. They moved right around the corner to a more visible location that will get more foot traffic passing by, I hope it works out well for them. I believe the attached map has the new location correctly shown, the posted address has not been updated. As of mid April 2026, they were closed to renovate the new location, I was told their projected re-opening was going to be in early - mid May. Good idea to call first. If the owners or any customers have an update on that, it would be great to post. My daughter and I are suffering from La Casa Mania birria withdrawals and need a fix soon !”

“Taqueria La is a hidden gem near Wesleyan University. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The tacos were packed with delicious fillings, and the homemade salsas added the perfect kick. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly and welcoming. It’s a great spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Mexican food, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!”

I usually avoid fast food or shawarma spots because of my strict diet, but I chose this place for two reasons: they serve halal food, and during a snowstorm it was the closest option available. I’m really glad I did it turned out to be a great experience. I ordered the Chicken Salad Bowl with grilled chicken chunks, cucumbers, lettuce, chickpeas, hummus, and a variety of flavorful sauces. But once the food came, the doubts disappeared. We had ceviche, empanadas, lomo saltado, chaufuan with seafood and tostones. Everything was delicious. The chef definitely knows how to cook well. The service was good too, our server was Alonna. We will be back next time we are in Middletown.”

“Mozzicato Bakery in Middletown never disappoints! We stopped in to pick up a cannoli cake and an assortment of cookies for my husband's birthday, and everything was absolutely amazing.
The cannoli cake was incredible, with rich, creamy cannoli filling layered perfectly into a light, delicious cake. It was the perfect centerpiece for the celebration and disappeared quickly! We also grabbed a stack of assorted Italian cookies, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.

“probably not no. just entering the establishment their was paper towels all over the place and every surface was sticky, got up to the counter it was well over a half hour in line grabbing our purchase for one bowl I chose the fruity pebbles roll. the quality was very good of the ice cream. behind the line it looked clean but personally I think these young folks that work their need to try and fit some lobby maintenance here and their. I know it's rough sometimes. but those kids definitely were working their butts off every associate their was friendly too. but the entry was unesthetically pleasing.”

“I just want to start out by saying the Weekend Before Thanksgiving got away from me. I was hospitalized overnight Sunday into Monday and woke in a panic Monday. I was scheduled to make a lasagne for my family Thanksgiving gathering for Thursday. I posted on the Middletown Facebook page and Carmella messaged me! She assured me she could handle a lasagne for 20-25 people and boy was she right! I picked it up Wednesday at 3pm. She came out to say Hi, her staff was excellent & courteous. There were other folks there picking up Thanksgiving take out. My family was thrilled and the lasagne was excellent. As I am tryping this, I am eating the last piece at almost 2am Tuesday morning. Kudos to Carmella and all involved. We will be in to try out breakfast soon. One Million Stars and Many Thanks.”
