“Eggs Up continues to be the best breakfast place in town. The food is always excellent and they have a great variety on their menu along with good specials. The only downside is that it is a very small restaurant and seating is very limited. During peak times there will usually not be a table free and you may have to wait a while until there is one available. If the crowd waiting is outside the door, you may be better off just finding somewhere else to go unfortunately.”
“After a round of golf, I decided to swing by for some grub, and man, I was in for a treat. The Ale House Burger was a taste explosion in my mouth. They slathered it with this amazing homemade sauce that was out of this world. I'm not kidding; it's hands down one of the best burger sauces I've ever had. And the buffalo wings, oh boy, they were just perfect. They had a nice kick to them without being too fiery, just the way I like it. I couldn't stop munching on those bad boys. The beer selection was downright impressive, with something for everyone's palate. I'm definitely making it a point to drop by next time I'm in the area.”
“The food was fine, but I misunderstood the waitress and my plate wasn't what I expected. My husband didn't get what he ordered. The waitress fixed it with grace and the kitchen made my husband's meal in record time. I was told reservations would be preferred, we were the only diners for a while, but the dining room did get busy. I believe we will go again.”
“The pizza and sauce are excellent. I ate here out of curiosity and was blown away. It was cheese and pepperoni nothing to fancy. Highly recommend. Three stars for the atmosphere due to just ordering and leaving. It doesn't strike me as a dine-in kind of place.”
“This is one of my top 10 places, I have ever been. When I walked in I felt a very calming atmosphere and overall friendliness. It is a small space, with five tables and a bar that seats at least six. The service was friendly and genuine. She had a great smile and was super attentive. The pricing is crazy good and the serving can feed two people, if not take home for leftovers.I had the tuna melt on sourdough with American cheese. What I really liked is that the tuna salad was just tuna and mayonnaise. You can add tomato or onion or lettuce, if you choose, but I generally like a plain tuna melt. You can always add a side for a little bit extra. But I chose to have a small bag of chips and a pickle. The friend who met me for lunch, had a roast beef sandwich and it was stacked high with more of a pink roast beef and looked so good!!She verified it was excellent.I ordered a Lyman's, which is local, hard cider. My total for the meal and drink was $17.50 and I tipped $5.Parking is in the back, you pull into the Dunkin' donuts parking lot and drive to the back- right side.I will definitely be back.”
“Our first time here. We sat at the bar and ordered a beer and appetizer and two entrees. I thought the food and the portions were fantastic and the prices also were very very good. This is a Hidden Gem that I recommend all should try.”
“This place was a pleasant surprise, burgers were delicious and the vegetarian options were excellent as well, the fries were the steak variety and plentiful and delicious, price was high, but worth it.”
“A nice brewery and eatery with a variety of craft beer, ciders, and wine available. They offer a nice line up of beers from IPAs to stouts. The Graze eatery offers your typical pub snacks and meal options. The friendly staff and owners make sure you are taken care of. The brewery offers a nice outdoor patio with a fire pit and a view of the Arrigoni bridge over the Connecticut River. Many weekends the brewery offers live music. This brewery tucked by the bridge is worth finding.”
“First time here and I can’t wait till I’m back in Portland CT to have another one of the top dog hot dogs. I’m originally from New Haven CT and was in town for work, drove by and thought the hotdog trailer hauled by a yellow 50s cab was just for show but then realized it was a hotdog stand they and knew I had to try them!! I’m glad I did- it was a great hot dog!Kid-friendliness: The hot dog trailer”
“This place is literally a lucky find. Came across this on a random drive and was starving, so we stopped. This is a must stop and if you end up stopping on the first Friday of the month, Music bingo! Have been twice and will return!”
“We had a couple small pizzas and some wings delivered. We were really impressed with the pizza crust and the wings were incredible! Large and delicious!Great job! I can't wait to get food from this place again!”
“We drove a bit to get there and with this time of year it was a great scenic drive, service was great , spinach dip I loved , allCiders were tasty & if I had any complaint it would be the flights are under poured , better to just buy a bottle of each for the table because the wine is good, All and all a fun day and good experience , thank u”
“This place is fire. Came in and they have sick decor and trivia night The menu has so many wing sauces and they fell off the bone. And OMG the pretzels are fire. The waiters were also super nice and down to earth. It was pretty cheap and will prob come back tomorrow. 10/10 come here.”
“Always has been and still is the best pizza in town. If you aren't looking for pizza they have other great items on their menu as well. If you've never tried their food, you should definitely give it a try. The staff is always friendly and the service is reasonably quick. There are some tables inside if you're looking to dine in, but it is primarily a take out restaurant as most pizza places are.”
“Went here for dinner and had a very nice time. The food was great and so was the service. I'll definitely go back again!Parking: Google maps took me only to the entrance of the golf club. The restaurant is beyond that, up a well-lit driveway with a large parking area at the top.”
