“Great Dairy Queen location – so happy to have one nearby!

I recently moved to Cobalt and was thrilled to find out there’s a Dairy Queen just 5 minutes from my house. When I lived in Hartford, the closest one was about 20 minutes away, so this is a big win.

The store is spacious, clean, well organized, and very inviting. We stopped by after a trip to pick up treats for myself, my husband, and our guests. As always, Blizzard treats are a hit and instantly make everyone happy.

If I had one small suggestion to make it perfect, it would be to enjoy the filling throughout the Blizzard, not just at the very end.

We arrived close to closing time for inside pickup (around 9:15 pm, with the lobby closing at 9:30 pm). I initially thought it closed at 10:00 pm based on Google, but that’s actually for the drive-thru. Even so, we were welcomed, treated kindly, and had a great experience.

I’m very happy to have this as our new local Dairy Queen and will definitely be back — and bringing more people with me.“

“I’m new to the area and was so happy to find out this Burger King in Portland has a playground — that’s what caught my attention right away!

I came in with my three little girls and placed my order through the app. There isn’t an option to add your table number so they can bring the food over (like McDonald’s or Chick-fil-A do), but the manager noticed someone had ordered from inside the restaurant and brought it to our table right away, which was really thoughtful.

Everything was clean and tidy. I haven’t used the restroom yet, but I did notice there isn’t one near the playground area — which, as a mom, would be a nice plus if there was.

The staff were friendly and polite, which makes such a difference when you’re with little kids.

This will definitely be our new go-to spot.
The McDonald’s in East Hampton is closer, but since it doesn’t have a playground, we’ll be coming here instead — we eat, but honestly, we come for the playground! 😄“

“The subway in Portland, Connecticut is pretty much the only good subway in my whole area. Subway used to be the best fast food place, but they have all gone downhill. And this one in Portland is great because all the vegetables are fresh. The people that work there are not only friendly, but are very helpful and genuine. And no other subways are this good. This has been a long-standing subway and I come here as often as I can.“

“I've never been to a Raising Cane's. I only know this place because I watch Shark 🦈 Tank 🤣🤣🤣. I found my 3 piece meal to be delicious, the tenders were large and cooked nicely. I do wish I got some ketchup for my fries. But overall a good first experience. If you're in the mood for tendies, these were pretty good.“

“I had an amazing dinner at Dar Party Pizza, and I can't stop thinking about it! If you’re a fan of classic cheese pizza, this place is a must-try. The pizza had the perfect balance of tangy tomato sauce and rich, gooey cheese, all atop a crispy, golden crust. Every bite was just so satisfying—simple but done so right. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The cheese was wonderfully melty and had that delicious, slightly salty bite.“

“I normally order from here and it's a hit or miss with them. But they have been getting better. But with all fast food sometimes things do get forgotten or missed. They try their best and that's why I came here to give them a thumbs up and say thank you for all my orders for my children on Friday's.“

“This location has a friendly staff but the soda machine is absolutely disgusting. For decades the Berlin Tnpks Mickey D’s machine has made the drinks unbearable to enjoy. I avoid getting drinks from there for that reason. They either aren't cleaning the soda machine or they do nor clean it out properly. Please look into this matter.
