“Pulled into this spot after our car was having trouble to grab some breakfast really quick to go. Little did I know my husband and I would be laughing and enjoying the owner's presence (Carmela) at the bar talking about restaurant hospitality and life while our order was being prepared. The food was great. So happy to stumble upon this hidden gem. We will be returning to enjoy the cozy atmosphere this place has with attentive wait staff even when the place was busy. It was a pleasure.“
“Let me start by saying welcome to the neighborhood, and I hope you stay for a long time. I was skeptical at first, so let me be one the one to tell anyone reading this that there is no reason to be. I got my food delivered and it was piping hot when it got to me, super fresh. Also it helps that the food here is delicious. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, so were the potatoes. Biscuits and gravy are excellent. Also the food had almost no salt but it works because the food doesn't need it, so if you want some salt you can add it yourself! Love that they give you the option. Highly recommend trying this place.“
“A small quaint place opened for breakfast and lunch. Very reasonable prices and food was good. The decaf coffee was strong, just like I like it. I had fruity french toast. very tasty. topped with berries, bananas and whipped cream. yummy. Brian had the vegetable omelett with sausage. He liked it too. I want to try lunch. I will be back.“
“Jack's was recently featured on channel 3. We are big breakfast folk, so a 35 minute drive from Manchester on a sunny (cold) morning to see if the restaurant was as good as it was supposed to be was very feasible for us. In a small stip mall in Higganum, we found Jack's. Clean & inviting inside, there was a short wait which we expected (due to the publicity on TV) We looked for someone taking names (to be seated), however seeing no one, we asked one of the locals waiting and was told they just eyeball the people waiting & seat them in order of when they arrived. Within a few minutes, we were seated in a comfortable booth. All the servers were really nice. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. Coffee poured - not bad, though not quite as strong as I like it. I had 2 slices of cinnamon French toast served with cinnamon butter. So good!!! My husband had an omelette which he said was really good too. And prices were extremely reasonable. You could tell this was a great local place, but with the channel 3 publicity, many out of town folks were discovering Jacks's. As we told our waitress, we will be back. And she said she will be looking for us“
“I just had breakfast here with my friend. She had gluten sensitivity and I have celiacs. So we were looking for a GF place to have breakfast that we wouldn't get sick! The food was all great and homemade, and the staff were wonderful. Our waitress. Lola was so sweet, caring and attentive! We could not have asked for a better person to explain the GF food there as well! In fact all the gone are GF foods are from Dees Ohe Smart Cookie in Glastonbury, and is a completely GF business, so I felt very happy! And comfortable eating here! The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was amazing, and we had such a great time! I will definitely be going back!(:Dietary restrictions: I have Celiacs, so my friend and I went here for the GF options! So happy we did! Delicious! ( : ❤️❤️❤️Parking: Tons of parking! Definitely check this place out! ( :“
“In the area for business, avoiding big chain coffee shops, stopped into Bob's for a coffee and guess what happened......the nice man getting my coffee says no charge. Who does that? Bob's coffee shop, THAT'S WHO. Thanks.“
“Spoke to the owner/mother and her daughter, they're a delight. Funny and personable. My mom and I are on a road trip and we're trying to eat local to each city, HIGHLY recommend if you want a homemade breakfast and a family atmosphere.“
“This breakfast spot in Connecticut is hands-down the best! It's family-owned, and they really know how to impress. Fresh food, friendly staff, and quick service - all at a reasonable price. Plus, the owner even swung by our table to check in on us. Definitely a 5/5 experience, this place is a true gem.“
“Loved this as The Whole Donut and love the new S’wiches version. Breakfast sandwiches are excellent. And the pastry? Anyone who thinks their donuts are like Dunkin’ is crazy! Fresh, high quality, interesting and super-tasty donuts that RULE over Dunkin’s, AND the donuts are like twice the size as Dunkin. Get there early on the weekend for an apple fritter. It will blow your tastebuds away! To top it off, the staff is professional and super-friendly. Love these guys!“
“Going to the sloppy waffle is always a blast. They have a great selection for brunch items. Getting into the restaurant can be a bit confusing, with waiting for tables and ordering being separate, but the staff are kind and want to help you figure it out. We got a the blueberry blast waffle and the very berry crepe. The waffle was incredible. I will definitely be ordering one again. The crepe was not great. It was crispy! But the fillings were delicious. Highly recommend for a great breakfast.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“if you like biscuits and gravy then you will LOVE it at Rise and Shine. I used to live down south and its not even close. Even in New Orleans I could not find a place that even comes close to how good Rise and Shine does the biscuits and gravy. They also have an amazing Irish Benedict. Actually everyone I have brought there has loved whatever they get. Some of the lunch/breakfast specials are very different and delicious.“
