“Stopped here randomly after my daughters dental appointment. We had an everything bagel with chive and onion cream cheese as well as a cinnamon roll. The bagel was the softest best bagel I have ever had. The cream cheese was perfect. The cinnamon roll was as bug as by 11 year Olds head. Will be returning when we are in the area!“

“Used to be good and then within the last two or three months went down hill. Unprofessional staff that doesn’t treat all the customers the same that play favorite to regulars or friends and family. Service customers food first who come 5 to 15 minutes after you order your food and services you cold food.“

“Can order out if you want to or come in and wait. The food quality definitely feels and tastes like homemade. Spuds were crispy and flavorful without adding extra salt and pepper. The sausage gravy was made with Italian sausage which wasn’t my particular flavor but still good! Pancakes were light and fluffy. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants some good food and a welcoming environment!“

“Honestly, I was there about 3 years ago and food was excellent but service was bad, because no coffee refills....Fast forward to yesterday....MUCH improved ?. Had 4 refills on coffee, bacon was cooked ON POINT, well done just as I like. Home fries were nice and tender too. Service excellent. I enjoy stopping there when my car is being worked on across the street. I no longer live in Central part of CT but my when car needs repairs, I will return to CJ s for a bite to eat!“

“if you like biscuits and gravy then you will LOVE it at Rise and Shine. I used to live down south and its not even close. Even in New Orleans I could not find a place that even comes close to how good Rise and Shine does the biscuits and gravy. They also have an amazing Irish Benedict. Actually everyone I have brought there has loved whatever they get. Some of the lunch/breakfast specials are very different and delicious.“

“Carmela’s is hands down the most delicious breakfast you’ll find in Middletown! Her biscuits and gravy is a total game-changer (full disclosure, I don’t eat meat anymore, but Carmela’s biscuits and gravy is what I miss most, lol)! Not only is her food bangerang, Carmela has hosted fundraising events at her restaurant for Special Olympics, and she is super generous, donating gift cards to community fundraiser events. Support your local kickass woman-owned business! Your tummy will thank you ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“

“The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly. I love the flavored coffee. I have been coming here for over 2 years and I have never had a single bad experience. it is convenient to order on the app and go in to pick up. Overall, if you are looking for a new breakfast spot I strongly suggest checking them out. Edited to add. 2 times now I have order the tres leches cake on the app but it wasn’t on the receipt in the store. It was made right both times by the staff but it I am curious why this happened. By the way. The cake is AMAZING.
Dietary restrictions: They have no bread options for their breakfast sandwiches. I get mine in a dish. Meets my dietary requirements of no carbs.“

“First time here and I will return. Next time, I’ll bring my daughters. I chose the Sloppy Waffle Breakfast meal and was satisfied. Home fries were seasoned well and I really enjoyed the waffle. Will explore them more when I return. The service really sold me! Everyone from the greeter, to the cashier & server were hospitable, attentive & sincere. The owner even came over to make sure I was comfortable. Thank you for this service & experience!

“I encountered an issue on 10.11.24 after dining at IHOP that induced me to write a grievance on their website. *To be transparent, after checking their hours on google that stated they close at 10 p.m., we entered the restaurant at 8:20 p.m.
The following day, I received an email from the general manager, David. (1st picture)
I was genuinely shocked by his response, as it was riddled with blatant sarcasm and indifference from the very beginning to the very end.
In turn, I wrote him an email. (2nd & 3rd pictures). That email serves as my review. David wrote his final email. (4th picture)“
