“Absolutely love this place! My husband’s grandparents live in New Britain, and this is a must go to place for me every time we visit. They are so sweet to our family and are always so welcoming when we come. I dream of their pancakes because I genuinely believe they have the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten! Can’t wait to visit this weekend!!“

“Great place for some delicious breakfast and good coffee. Situated in an incubator, food hall atmosphere, this is place is a little gem of a find. We had the burnt end eggs Benedict and a churro donut. The staff are friendly and quick, will gladly stop here again. Outside and inside seating available.“

“if you like biscuits and gravy then you will LOVE it at Rise and Shine. I used to live down south and its not even close. Even in New Orleans I could not find a place that even comes close to how good Rise and Shine does the biscuits and gravy. They also have an amazing Irish Benedict. Actually everyone I have brought there has loved whatever they get. Some of the lunch/breakfast specials are very different and delicious.“

“The Sloppy Waffle was AMAZING! I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was seasoned really well. The dish had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. My friend got the ice cream sandwich, and they definitely didn’t skimp on the ice cream!
The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very attentive. Great food and a great experience overall. Highly recommend!“

“I just want to start out by saying the Weekend Before Thanksgiving got away from me. I was hospitalized overnight Sunday into Monday and woke in a panic Monday. I was scheduled to make a lasagne for my family Thanksgiving gathering for Thursday. I posted on the Middletown Facebook page and Carmella messaged me! She assured me she could handle a lasagne for 20-25 people and boy was she right! I picked it up Wednesday at 3pm. She came out to say Hi, her staff was excellent & courteous. There were other folks there picking up Thanksgiving take out. My family was thrilled and the lasagne was excellent. As I am tryping this, I am eating the last piece at almost 2am Tuesday morning. Kudos to Carmella and all involved. We will be in to try out breakfast soon. One Million Stars and Many Thanks.“

“I had a really great experience here. I made a mistake with my order (totally my fault), but the manager was incredibly kind and understanding. He replaced my meal for free, which I truly appreciated. The waitress was also very sweet and patient, and she handled everything so professionally. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to have a good experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Me and my family haven't been to IHOP in a while, and going back after so long was awesome. Shout-out to Pamela; she was a great server and very accommodating. I definitely would recommend this IHOP location to friends and family, and I would definitely say to look out for Pamela, because if you get her as a server, you'll be in good hands 🙌🏻.“
