This is one of my favorite restaurants. It makes me feel like I am back in time in a small New England town. It is cozy, quaint and charming. All their food is good and their salads absolutely delicious and look beautiful. I actually have taken pictures of them. The restaurant is quiet and nice place to relax, visit with friends and to enjoy yourself. The restaurant is somewhat hidden behind a sidewalk wall and well worth finding.

The food is good and delightfully presented in a tea party decor. I loved it more when the Art Guild hung their paintings there. Heard the owner has been ill: wish her all the best! Hope her son carries on the tea cafe tradition. Best wishes!

I came here after a college tour with my son, knowing nothing about the area or the restaurant. Although it was late for lunch, they welcomed us into their homey restaurant. When the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I had ordered a BLT with salad, expecting a basic sandwich and generic salad. Not at all! The sandwich had a delicious dill mayonnaise, and the salad was filled with veggies and fresh fruits - grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc. everything was wonderful! I highly recommend!

Loved the old fashion feeling of a tea room with delicious food and tea served in China teapots. Waitress was also very friendly and helpful

I've only eaten here twice because the prices are quite ridiculous for the portions you are receiving so I only order here as a special treat but I must say the veggie melt is the best I've ever had, it is unbelievably delicious, I wish it was a full size sandwich but I guess I'll take what I can get. The picture doesn't do it's flavor justice! I would give them 5 stars if they altered their prices to match their portions.

Stopped on our way home from a road trip Worth the detour off 91. I enjoyed the chicken salad in a squash bowl. My husband ordered the shrimp corn soup . We both had nothing but praise. Presentation and flavor top shelf. All entrees served with a fresh salad and flakey roll. Owners friendly and ambiance restful. Hope we can come back soon

Great atmosphere, cozy, homey. Quiet. Great food, reasonably priced. Very full though. We got sandwiches with sides of salad, cauliflower soup, paris tea, and chocolate cake. Every bite was amazing. Definitely my favourite place in Middletown from now on.
I took the day off to run errands and figured I'd check this place out. I was 25 minutes away but it looked good so I drove here and arrived 45 minutes before it closed. I figured I could order a sandwich to go but the woman working was terribly rude. She was an older woman with glasses and snapped at me that they were closing. I apologized and told her I had planned to just order a sandwich in case she just didn't want me to have a big sit down meal. She then said "well the kitchen is closing they have to pick their kids up." I don't know who "they" are or what she was talking about but I said okay just want to let you know your hours online may be incorrect. I went to leave and she called after me "well now you know." The whole interaction was baffling because she was incredibly rude and trying to argue from the moment I walked in. There were plenty of pastries out and other things she could have kindly offered to sell me if the kitchen was closing. Or just apologize and be gracious. Most cafes still make people sandwiches and quick food to go 45 minutes before they close. I will never return based on the service

We have received delivery of lunch the past 2 days. Salads have been so fresh with amazing fruits and house dressing. Sandwiches have been very creative and flavorful. Good variety of drinks provided. Kind delivery person. Excellent desserts.

Found on a whim. What a great spot. The sandwiches were phenomenal and the atmosphere was quaint. Even the cheese and fruit platter for kids was perfect. Right now they seem to be struggling with construction noise from the garage above them, we were able to tune it out and it was soo worth it. Don't let the construction stop you from visiting this wonderful little spot.
