Its not as fancy as a lot of other Japanese restaurants but the food is as good or in most cases better than any other Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Very reasonable prices. Even the quality of their green tea ice cream is superior. The staff is always friendly and ready to please. Plenty of free and convenient parking.

I love this place. Their sushi is wasn't expected to really enjoy. It's hard to find a good sushi spot these days. The place could possibly use alittle upgrade but honestly the food was my most important part especially the sushi. Definitely recommend. Will be coming back.

Delicious fresh sushi with friendly service
Even though setting feels like it could benefit from a fresh coat of paint the menu more than makes up for it!
Food and service is excellent. Priced fairly. Only thing I can say is it's a bit dark inside.
Food is a great
I got the teriyaki chicken. Wow you get a lot of bang for your buck. It came with rice, miso soup, and sushi. All that for around $10. It was fresh and good. Better believe I am going back.

I've only ever gotten takeout, but the food has always been delicious. The crab rangoon are the best I've ever had - not too much extra wonton, and the wonton is light and crispy. They are very full, and come with a yummy sauce. I love their Kani salad and Middletown roll as well. Cashiers are always very friendly. I never have to wait long after putting in my order. If I ever eat in, I'll want to sit inside one of the booth areas, they look cozy. Highly recommend. ?

Food was ok. I ordered 3 rolls. One tasted a little fishy to me like it wasn't fresh. Miso was good. Service was nice but only one lady running around taking care of tables and the front. Atmosphere was ok just not enough lighting.

We ordered a roll with salmon and another one called ocean something. Didn't taste good. One roll was 80% cream cheese and a pink paste substance. The chicken teriyaki was dry baked chicken strips with teriyaki sauce poured over it with onion, broccoli, and carrot slices. Also not good. The spring rolls were mostly cabbage. I won't be returning.

Love Japanica, easily one of the most affordable, yet most delicious place to get Sushi in the surrounding area. the atmosphere is quaint but you can still get a little noisy with friends or family without worrying about other patrons getting upset, they also has a side/private room for small groups if you request it - 90% of the seating is designed as four seater booths and the lighting is warm yet dim - just enough to see everything you need to see yet not so dark that it'll hurt to adjust your eyes when you exit the building.
all in all just a great place to grab lunch, or dinner and a drink if heading over with a friend I recommend the Scorpion bowl for two
