Don’t sleep on this hidden gem near the post office in Middletown. The sopes were delicious, packed with flavor and visually appealing with fresh toppings and a side of their homemade hot sauce. The refried beans are black beans and so flavorful! The owners are so polite and hospitable. I bought fresh guava and she explained how to put them in the sun to ripen and make guava water.
3 sopes - $17

Pictured is the chicken enchiladas with green sauce that come with rice and beans. Food tasted great and came out quick. There are 3 tables for you to sit and eat inside. They have a selection of drinks in the beverage coolers. Parking is on the side next to the building.

It's a Mexican corner store but dude when I tell you the lady can cook, she can cook! So good. Never a bad experience and by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in the whole CT, no cap. Check them out and see for yourself

Place was straight fire. I got the chicken and carnitas tacos and they were awesome. 4 of them cost 16 bucks but I’d say it was still pretty worth it. The meat is tender and the tortilla has a nice corn flavor. I liked that I was given a lot of limes and the hot sauce was ACTUALLY hot and tasted great. The vibe could be better with more seating as there’s only one small table, but I understand there’s not much space and it’s also a little grocery store. Lady at the counter was very nice.

Possibly the best Mexican place in town. Got the Guerrrero Burrito and it was giant. Unlike other Mexican restaurants, it doesn't pad the contents with lots of rice and only a little meat. The meat seemed to make up the majority of the burrito. Making this place my go to Mexican restaurant.

Best tacos in Middletown. Street taco style with onions and cilantro. They often don’t have lengua (my favorite) but the carnitas is also very good. Mild salsa (green) is a true mild, for anyone worried about spice, with good flavor. Service is friendly and very quick.

Best Mexican food in CT. The food is authentic, they give generous portions, and everything is obviously made fresh to order. Sometimes this means the food comes a little slower, but they’re very happy to take call ahead orders if you’re not willing to wait. The store owner is extremely kind and hospitable - always a calm and friendly atmosphere in their local convenience store.
