Mikado is an established piece of Middletown history. I have been going to eat there for over 20years. I started brining my kids when they were infants, and now they both love sushi @ 10 and 12! The menu reads like a book, and its all decent quality. The atmosphere and the decor are always on point. Sushi and Sashimi specials are the way to go. We love the Sweet Heart roll, gotta get the eddamame, nigiri or yakortori as all are good starters. Their lunch specials with 2 roll combos...

mikado absolutely rules. dont bother with any of the other sushi places in middletown, this is the spot. the food is awesome, the servers are professional, and they have a tree in the middle of the restaurant ??

Kind of a backwards place for me— atmosphere is the best out of all sushi spots in the area. The sushi was just okay to me— all their special rolls seem so similar with multiple types of fish, wasn’t what I was looking for.The spicy edamame, sashimi and seaweed salad were the highlights for me. I would come back but not for specialty rolls… hope this helps!
