Moonlight Sushi Bar and Grill

Every aspect of this meal was soaked in soy sauce. A lot of better hibachi places in the area. Would not go back here, especially because of the extreme pricing too.

I get very hesitant to try new places since I do have celiac disease. I spoke to a lady on the phone yesterday. She was phenomenal and let me know all of my options that were safe for me to eat and changed certain ones to make sure that they were safe. Even then, I always get nervous because of the kitchen could have cross-contamination since I’m very sensitive to gluten. I had no reaction that means my food was handled with the absolute best care, which is a huge thing with celiac. I 10 out of 10 recommend moonlight for anyone with gluten allergies or sensitivities. The food was amazing and so was the staff!

Went here for sushi and left with disappointment on the service and food quality.
The pork dumplings that were ordered tasted frozen and fried immediately leaving them feeling and tasting watery inside.
The sushi for two was very poor and were made poorly, tasting as though were left for a bit too long waiting to be brought to the table, the soup was the best part of the meal but was out shown by the lack of quality of the rest of the time here.
The plating of the sushi boat seemed to have rust on the bolts holding it together.
My partner had something sharp and hard in her sealed drink while drinking up their Boba tea.

I’ve come here for years with friends & family, ect, never have had a bad experience. Occasionally it’s a lil loud but that’s to be expected when a restaurant has great food & service, you want those tables packed. The prices are pretty good, the staff is always accommodating, respectful, & friendly, even if you have a to go order or deliver. They’re so helpful & kind, truly one of my favorite spots in CT!

This is my favorite food spot in middle town. Reasonable prices and they do all the small things like. I had a cool straw in my drink. I love cool straws and tiny umbrellas

Simply coming here to give all a warning. I was looking for Sushi in middletown, I've had Mikado's and Haichi and wanted to try a new place, my mistake. Sushi was lukewarm. 3 rolls crammed into one container. The beef on the stick, everywhere I've gone in my life, you get 4 sticks, here, two small ones. For 50$ spent , you'd think they'd give you two sets of chop sticks, and more than one little container of soy sauce, nope. Underwhelmed and disappointed, one and done for this sushi destination.

I took my kids here for their first Hibachi experience. Unfortunately the cook was very unenthused, didn’t really engage with anyone at the table. Overall not a very entertaining “show”, which was disappointing for my kids. The food was ok, steak a little over cooked for medium rare. I don’t think I would choose this place again for Hibachi. I think they need to step it up a bit.

Atmosphere was great and the entities were scary! Norman roaming the halls was in a bad mood but Myra was fast on her feet lol there is a game named scary sushi on Roblox that has the same name as this restaurant!!! It’s a must play!!!

Ordered the crab Rangoons and shrimp tempura sushi rolls and it did not disappoint! The price point was also reasonable for the amount of food you got. Staff was super friendly! Credit card accepted and parking is offered around back!
