First is the layout. There is a hibachi restaurant upstairs which is also the level of Main Street where we parked. The door was open but there was no one there. A sign said go downstairs for sushi. Took a bit of exploring to find the stairs. Sushi was on the lower level that opened onto the back parking lot. The entire staff was here. Most not doing anything but all talking loudly at once. The decibel's aside the servers were all friendly. While reviewing the menu I commented that other sushi restaurants had more interesting, informative and attractive menus. We got five different rolls. 4 of them tasted pretty much the same-the same flavor profile. Just never found anything special here or particularly flavorful. I did also comment that they had quite a few rolls that were more expensive than other restaurants. I think I've been to all the sushi restaurants on and around Main Street in Middletown. It's just not my favorite or close.

We came in for lunch on a holiday so there were not many people in the restaurant. Each of us ordered something different. My chicken lo mein was delicious and the portion was quite large. My husband had several sushi rolls which were fresh and delicious. One of my sons got the hibachi lunch and loved it. My other son got a teriyaki bento box. This was his first time trying sushi and he loved it as well. The waitstaff was friendly and extremely kind. We will definitely be backKid-friendliness: They offered my kids “cheater chopsticks”, my younger son got “the world’s coolest bendy straw”, on our way out they asked him if he’d like a balloon, then blew up the cutest foil dinosaur balloon.

Hi Im A Flying Person

I came here with my friend the other day. I honestly didn’t have high expectations because a lot of restaurants left me feeling disappointed. But, this place is so good!! The food actually has flavor. I ordered some beef skewers with teriyaki sauce. So good. So flavorful. I also got shrimp tempura rolls. It’s soo good! My friend loved her food as well. The staff there are very nice. The place has a nice vibe. We both had a great time.

We all know there isn't much variety in taste when going to hibachi. So when I go for hibachi, I'm looking forward to the show. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see. My birthday party of 6 received a little musical with the spatchulas, the Sake squirting & a little onion volcano. There was no catching of food, no singing/chanting, no flipping of eggs, no cool designs with eggs whites. Also, not much communication overall. Even though I was dancing in my seat with the intent of engagement with the chef. There was another party of maybe 10 across from us & it was the same for them as well. The food itself was good. I chose the chicken & salmon. We had indicated the person who couldn't have shellfish cooked near their food & the chef was happy to separate the foods. However, he put shrimp on that person's plate so we had to switch out the plates. I was happy they didn't use multiple mounds of butter or margerine to cook. The drinks were great. Passion fruit margaritas, peach margaritas & something with mango. That one was a bit syrupy. Another couple ordered the scorpion bowl & they raved about it. The waitress was pleasant. The service was ok. My party was able to be seated without everyone present. Initially, we were sitting for a while before drink orders were taken. Someone actually went to check if a waiter/waitress was going to come over. They gave us the option for chopsticks, but not everyone received a set. I'd return to try the sushi, but wouldn't do hibachi again.

Very good experience, the restaurant is very cute with murals all over the walls, the waitresses are very attentive and sweet, and the food is delicious and have a variety to choose from! Second time going and will continue to go

I have cross the threshold of Moonlight about five times now and it's always been on some type of date, just a weird coincidence. The food is always good, I have never been disappointed by the food. Then again I love sushi and it can't really go wrong in my eyes. Here's where it's weird, every time I have been the vibe, aura whatever you want to call it is just weird. It feels like of derelict. Some of the booths move on their own too, if ya ever want to go for a joyride. By the way these are not qualms. I will still come here all the time. It's just a lil' strange is all I'm sayin. The service normal, not particularly great but not poor. Wonder what next bloke I'll be going in here with.

Moonlight is the spot for sushi in Middletown. Go in on almost any night and it's packed, and that's because it's the best! We started by trying a sake that was delicious. We split a kani salad to start and ordered a tuna roll and sunshine roll (salmon based) and an order of fried rice! Everything was delicious! Upstairs they have a hibachi grill if you want to try that as well. Always a solid spot.

Huge restaurant inside and then another level of seating downstairs ! They made balloons for the kids and offered strawberry and chocolate milk. The hibachi chef was great and cooked everything perfectly. We would return.

Can you add any more broccoli to make up for the fact you have me 4 shrimp in my order??!!! Move along if it's not for sushi. Ridiculous way to price gouge your customers. By the way. Shrimp is rubber...

Their food is delicious but every time I eat in the restaurant there are gnats flying around me and my food, it’s gross.Parking: There are always multiple spaces open. Using the parking lot vs street parking is very convenient.

Food is always good but hibatchi chefs are terrible. No conversation, no throwing food, no sake just terrible. AND waitress followed us out complaining that no tip was left for chef. Even said, "I have to pay my chefs." Will not be back.

Usually this place doesn’t miss. Tonight took the cake. We decided to try the Pad thai. It was really bad. I have never seen pad Thai be orange, it did t taste like pad thai other than having peanuts on it. The usually sushi that I order was also not good. The rice seemed like it was days old and each sushi piece fell apart before they could leave the container. It also seemed like we got less than usual. When I get two rolls it typically comes in two containers this time it was just one. The gyoza was cold and soggy. We arrived to pickup the order not long after what was listed on our confirmation. For $60 this was a big disappointment.
