Had such a bad experience we left before we even ordered. First of all the staff looked irritated that we even walked in. No greeting at all. Just gestured for us to sit. Not even a tiny bit of friendliness or even basic acknowledgment. The waitress was sitting down eating when we came in which is fine cuz they had no customers so I didn’t care that she was having a break. BUT she kept smacking and licking her lips as she was handing us our menus and proceeded to BELCH LOUDLY right next to our table. It was disgusting!! There was also somehow a person covered in a blanket having a nap on what appeared to be some kind of bench in front of the main desk/bar. Socks out, just sleeping. It was the strangest, most off putting and downright disgusting experience. After I noticed the sock footed bench napper, we just left. Will never step foot in there again. I cannot fathom how on earth this place has such good reviews!!!! We love Thai and Vietnamese food so we were so excited to try this place. We came in around 2:30 so they were well into being open for the day. Absolutely no reason to not be ready for customers and no reason to be so gross and unfriendly! I’ve been to crappy restaurants before but I have never NEVER had to walk out before even ordering.

The best Pho around! I'm not joking. The Basil Fried Rice is yummy... it is delicious!!! Loaded with fresh vegetables and white meat chicken! I love the fact that they will also let you make changes to the dish. I don't eat eggs... most of their dishes have eggs. I asked them not to put eggs in the Basil Fried Rice and they were very accommodating! Plus plus plus you get large portions! In today's economy that is everything! Pho 170 is one is the best places to eat at in Middletown! High quality food...exceptional service... large portions! You can't beat this place.

Fantastic food! Ordered for the first time and was very impressed with how delicious the drunken noodles and spring rolls were! Will definitely be back

What a wonderful surprise. Both got the pho combo and it was a 10/10 fr. The meatballs were so good we had to ask about them, and they’re homemade by the dad at this mom and pop shop. If you want a clean pho that hits the spot COME HERE

Middletown Main Street strip seems to mandate a very standardized unattractive look on the outside. However this small unassuming restaurant is a total find! You walk in to counter where you order and small unfancy tables but the food is solid portioned served fast and fresh at a great price! We did get the sense that they held back on the traditional Vietnamese spice. In our multi-day stay, Pho170 is a staple. Top picks for food portion and quality - garlic beef, spicy basil beef, etc. We had mixed opinions on their Vietnamese sandwich. Boba tea was ok but the flavors were bit limited and there are other nearby options for boba. Don’t miss eating here for a happy, affordable and non greasy meal!

They've gone downhill a bit. Also I ordered delivery this time. Their hoisin and everything now comes in packets and, if you ask for an extra hoisin, it'll cost you $3.54 for a tiny packet. I actually don't know if I got an extra or if they just usually give two but that was extreme. This charge was added after the order was confirmed. Pretty ridiculous. I won't be ordering there again for mediocre pho and being overcharged.
