I have been coming here since I was about five years old when the original owner John was still around and he was the nicest guy, always treated his customers with respect and loved my grandfather, now time has passed and John and my grandfather have both passed but that same familial feeling I get when I walk into public market remains, the staff are friendly and enjoy making conversation, the owner is a nice guy and upholds the Italian...
Trying to follow a zero waste lifestyle can be difficult especially when grocery shopping and trying to support local shops at the same time. I was thrilled to know that they allowed me to bring my own reusable containers to purchase my sandwich meat & cheese, their delicious chicken cutlets fit perfectly in my stainless steel bento box and I was able to purchase bread and they placed it in my canvas bags. Thank you for allowing this!!
