We love the Puerto Vallarta in Avon but now that we live in Middletown we started going to this one, but the last time we were there we were rushed the whole time. We were there HOURS before they closed, the restaurant wasn’t insanely busy, but they still like rushed us out. We ordered our drinks and food and they were both out within like 5/10 mins max & then various servers kept asking us if they could take our plates away (at least 4x) when we still had half our meals or more on the plate… and we’re actively eating it… they brought the check and said no rush but clearly for some reason there was a rush. We were in and out in under 40 minutes.

I can't put -0... We waited for about 10 minutes and about 4 waiters didn't come by without asking anything, my husband asked the supervisor if anyone was serving us and a stupid person said I'm coming now, we got up and left... without eating. ...Bye. Saturday 4:00pm.

We come here 1-2 times a week and it is by far our favorite Mexican!! Everyone there is sooo nice and welcoming! Our only complaint is it’s not closer to home but we don’t mind the drive :)

Here in the basement of mini-mall nestled between the construction and river flooding off 9, and the endless traffic lights of Main Street, may be the most beautiful restaurant in Connecticut. It's truly a pleasant and colorful place! Especially in December, details big and small are a feast for the eyes. The staff have been friendly as the decor each time, lucky us. Never mind the atmosphere, the food is always comforting. Arroz Con Pollo here could be my last meal, though enchiladas and fajitas always make it a tough decision. A moderate tap and drink list, mochktails included, tops it off: if for some reason you have room after the very large plates, the churros are above and beyond. In all, what's not to love? Definitely find this mini-mall spot and enjoy the whole experience.
Located off of Main Street the decor was loud as was the traditional Mexican restaurant music. The volume made a comfortable discussion difficult. I had a craving for a quesadilla. The tortillas were not cooked, not toasty. The food was ok. Not bad but nothing special. The best part was this was the friendliest,quick staff ever.
