Lisa is a class act and knows how to approach her guests, suggest products and make them feel comfortable. Great food. We will be back!

Lisa is fantastic, and we had a great evening here with friends!

We came for our anniversary and had a wonderful meal. Lisa gave great recommendations and we left feeling as if we made a new friend. Ricky at the front desk was just as friendly and helpful. Will come back for a drink and a visit.

Our welcome to the Inn at Middletown and Tabern at the Armory by Ricky was awesome. He is knowledgeable and outgoing. It made our entrance seamless. Thanks.

Food was nothing to write home about, bar doesn’t open until 4:30pm so they are unable to serve alcohol until then… lame

Very disappointing buffet. Vegetable choices were limited. The roast beef was an end cut and very dry. The desserts were gone except for a picked over cake.

Do not eat or drink here – the place is mostly awkwardly deserted. The few folks staying at the hotel wisely stuck to salads for food. Our 2nd round of tap beer was out. At a cost of $45 for 2 basic beers and a glass of wine which tasted like swill with no ambiance and a bartender who kept disappearing with less than 5 customers! We doubt that a Kitchen Nightmares and Bar Rescue re-do could help them –ultimately, maybe it wouldn’t matter due to the neighborhood. We only made the mistake of spending 1 night here and avoided this place like the plague for the rest of our stay.

Christmas Day Pri Fixe was $44.00, reservations were for a party of 2 at noon. the room we were in had one other rather large party so, manageable, right ? well, the service was disorganized, soup came, had r to ask for soup spoons. we were told to use teaspoons because they don't have soup spoons. were rushed between courses with another server asking "are you still working or can I take that ?". those plates were still in front of us. then coffee with no cream, and we had already used our spoons for soup! there was no reason for us to be rushed. my mashed potatoes were barely tepid, my sirloin was very tough, the other member of our party chose not to complain. I have not been to the Armory fo ra few years and remember some great dining experiences. I don't now what has changed but I don't anticipate going back any time soon if at all.

We weren't seated where requested after confirming reservation prior. Lots of reservations so felt rushed. No substitutes for fixed menu. No mash potatoes with a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving! Gratuity included with check yet other options listed to add more. Had to look closely. Food was fair at best and not hot when served. We will not go back.

Overall good experience. Nice hotel, very clean. A couple days after I got home I got a charge for 46$. I called the hotel to see what this charge was for, as there was no mini bar or anything and I didn’t get any snacks from the lobby. I was told it was a “destination fee.” When I asked what this was, I was told it was for the cookies at check in (I for sure did not receive cookies at check in or I’d be on here cheering about it.) and the local restaurant coupons they give. (Also did not get.) So, keep an eye on your charges from this place. Overall a good experience but the 46$ cash grab at the end really turned me off.

Being away from your own home is never much fun, but the bartender Lisa made the environment feel like home. Not only was the food fantastic, but the conversation was exceptional. Lisa made it feel like I was eating at a local home restaurant and she has known me for years. I am here for 5 days for work and I cannot wait to have dinner there again tomorrow. Being a Sunday it was quiet and she made me feel like I was at a family dinner. Five plus stars for the food and the companionship.

My first time here. Made a reservation as the downtown was having a 4th celebration. However it wasn’t really needed. Not sure where the poor reviews are coming from. Lisa was a great server, she was fun and helped with minor dietary requests. The rum punch was fun. I had the steak and veggies. Steak was cooked to order and veggies were crisp and cooked to perfection. Started with the spinach salad which was a perfect summer salad with blueberries, strawberries and goat cheese. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The hotel this place is situated in is also nicely decorated. Overall a good restaurant and reasonably priced.

Never been before thought we'd give it a try. Don't think the reservation was really necessary but the dining area was very clean and welcoming. The server, Lisa, was a super sweet and attentive. Helped make recommendations and substitutions as requested. The food was great. Spinach salad was a nice taste of summer with berries and goat cheese. I had the steak which was cooked as requested. The veggies were were also tender crisp and not covered in oil or butter. Definitely recommend this spot. Lisa was a true delight as a server and we had a great time with her.
