I hired Whey Station for my Wedding this past Saturday and have to commend them for their relentless efforts in ensuring that they showed up for us. They faced every obstacle possible--the engine blew in their truck the day before the wedding. They then towed the truck to our wedding site only to be turned away when the tow truck was too heavy to cross into our venue. That did not stop them from shifting gears yet again, adjusting and finding a way to make it work. They set up and worked out of an unfamiliar kitchen with my crazy wedding guests swirling around them and turned out the most delicious late night grilled cheeses. Thank you so much for being there, being patient, making it work and for the much needed late night eats!!!!

Excellent grilled cheese,as usual . Vanessa and Ryan were friendly, competent and quick. Masks and gloves worn by all. Would recommend the"Dan the Man" sandwich

Cheesy Bacon Tots, 2 Afterburns, and a Big Sal Grilled Cheese fed our group of 4 easily. Tasty meal, cheesy, salty, tangy and hot. Friendly crew. Made for a nice end to a night at the CT Brewing Co.

I am severely disappointed in myself that I have never reviewed The Whey Station!! Easily one of the best food trucks in CT. They've taken the simple concept of grilled cheese and put it on another level. Other grilled cheese trucks just don't compare! I personally think it's the bread - and the people behind it! One of the main locations they setup shop is the Xfinity Theater in Hartford. It's a concert tradition of ours to get Whey Station before a show. DON'T be intimidated by the line - it moves quick and it's worth it. I can't count the number of sandwiches I've ordered specifically at Xfinity! Just see the photos for proof LOL A fan favorite is definite the "Channing Tater" but I also love to do the "Monger" with jalapeno & bacon. My mouth is watering already!

We had The Whey Station Truck at our event last night. The Grilled Cheese Sandwiches were AMAZING!!!! I had bacon & garlic aoili. That was THE best grilled cheese I have ever had. Great job!!!!

I was so excited to eat my channing tater grilled cheese, only to find a long hair on one side. I still ate it because I spent almost 20$ along with a side. I then bit into the other side and there was the other half of the hair. Thank goodness hair has no taste! The food was good though!

We hired The Whey Station for our wedding last night and can’t say enough great things about them. Food was amazing, customer service was amazing and everything went perfectly. Would greatly recommend anytime. 10/10 amazing

Scrumdilliumptious! What a pleasant surprise! I have to admit I was hesitant to grab dinner from a food truck but I was assured it was amazing and I was sooo hungry I decided to go for it. Normally I don't do well with greasy, spicy or fatty foods but I decided to try the Avomelt 86 bacon add tomato since I'm a vegetarian. However, to my surprise it wasn't greasy at all and was so mouthwateringly flavorful that after the 1st half I was full but I just couldn't stop taking one more bite until next thing I knew I devoured the entire sandwich. TBH I have been thinking and craving another sandwich since. Finally today 2 days later I decided to just go for it and give into this intense craving but the restaurant was closed. I tried to hunt down the food truck but unfortunately it wasn't out; so I'll have wait & try the restaurant tomorrow. The truck was super clean, the line moved very quickly and my order was ready w/I a few minutes. Oh and the guy working was crazy friendly and super cool about the modifications I requested. After looking at their menu I can't decide between the Avomelt, Caprese, Spinach artichoke dip or tomato bisque. I guess I'll just have to make a few visits when family comes to try them all. They have a lot of vegetarian options which is great especially considering lots of restaurants have a very limited vegetarian offering. Let it be said this was honestly the best sandwich I've ever had. Looking forward to trying something new tomorrow! You should definitely give this place a try! 5 stars doesn't do The Whey Station justice!

I absolutely love this place! The food is very good and I especially love the soups with a crusty grilled cheese sandwich. Real comfort food unless you want greens and they have that too. This place gives back to the community as well! They were open Thanksgiving and fed anyone that had no place to go for free! I was really impressed when I read about that. These guys started with a food truck and decided to open a restaurant. Very good!

It was difficult to find the restaurant since there was not great signage on the restaurant. I was determined and I'm glad I preserved. The atmosphere was eclectic and informal and very kid friendly! The beer and wine selection was better than I would have expected. The variety of gourmet grilled cheese was hard to choose from because they all sounded great. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the hand cut chips! The kids Mac and cheese was a little too spicy for most children but it was nice that it came with a generous side of mandarin oranges. It is definitely a must try!
