Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We drove a motorhome all the way from Wyoming to follow the leaves down from Maine, check out New York City and visit the Ark on the way home. We stayed at camp grounds every several days and boondocked at Walmarts and Cracker Barrel’s when possible. We arrived at Milford Cracker Barrel in late afternoon counting on eating supper and overnighting to discover they were repaving their parking lot. Dave, one of the managers, quickly saw our need, checked the paving schedule and cordoned off a remote back section just for us. It was crazy far beyond the call of duty. He literally had mercy on us. After the latest debacle with their marketing dept, it renewed our commitment to eating at this restaurant chain whenever possible nationwide. We have been there I. Two different occasions recently and both were not the greatest. First we had family come visit so we thought it was a good idea to go to Cracker Barrel for dinner. We had a young man as our server who seemed attentive and friendly and once we got our entrées, we ate our dinner and sat waiting around. He never came back to see if we needed refills on drinks or if we needed anything else finally after waiting about 45 minutes after we had finished our meal, we got the attention of another server that was working who told us she would go find him and send him right out. Same server came back and we were informed that our server walked out of the restaurant in the middle of his shift. After she informed us of this, she told us the manager would be out shortly to speak with us and they apologize. Waited another half hour and no manager showed up to speak with us. We went and paid our bill even asked about giving a tip to the buses and other staff that help since the waiter wasn’t there anymore, but they told us only the servers got the tips so we didn’t leave anything. Fast-forward to today there was only four of us that showed up today and the restaurant was not crazy busy as it usually can be we ordered our drinks. The server returned. We ordered our entrées and we sat there for almost a half hour no cornbread no biscuits no refills on our drinks. Our entrées were brought out Two of them were wrong and half of it was cold. We never got refills on our drinks our server only came back to bring us the check and thank goodness we looked at it because we were charged for the entrées that were messed up. These entrées were supposed to be combination platters, but only came with half of the Combination so we had them adjusted and we left after waiting 20 more minutes for that to get resolved and for them to bring us the check we really do like this restaurant and are hoping that is just a coincidence we had these two bad experiences recently and that if they are having staff problems they get resolved For their sake as I said it’s a great place most of the time but these last two experiences make me question when the next time is, I’ll go back

The campfire steak dinner was delicious - would have been easier if they took it out of the foil before serving.

We visited this restaurant on our way to Massachusetts. The food was delicious and we had a great waitress. It was busy but we had no wait to sit down.

We had lunch at this Cracker Barrel location in Milford CT and it was a great experience. We’ve dined here before but I don’t think I’ve ever completed a review so here we go. The ambiance was bustling with a lot of people dining on the weekend but I thought we were called to sit pretty quickly. We walked in although it was crowded we sat within 10 mins. Waitress bought we our drinks and took our order. The staff were friendly, prompt and attentive. I’m not sure about these take our 1 star reviews but for the most part our experience here has always been great. My wife had the steak and for me, the Barrel burger. The Mac and cheese was outstanding- wow !! Both were cooked to perfection and the service was quick. We highly recommend !!

Used to frequent her but they hire dumb waiter and service sucks. Wait forever for food, they're chit chatting amongst one another in the kitchen with hair exposed and they ignore you

Was my first time going here tonight and ill never come back to this place I would give it zero stars if it was possible the service was good but the food was horrible ordered loaded mac and cheese it seemed like it was just regular mac and cheese the chicken and dumplings the chicken was dry and seemed like it was boiled could not finish the meal at all never ever again will I step foot in this place

Very disappointed with our waiter who by the way had 3 stars so he wasn't new. His service was very slow ,kept forgetting items we ordered and our food was warm at best.
For spending over $100. and walking away disappointed will be a factor in whether we ever return. Never had that kind of food or service before. And it wasn't even busy!
