Our party of 4 went for a burgers and brew night. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Dining room very nice, comfortable seating and plenty of room. There were several appetizers to choose from that sounded great but we stuck to the burgers. They not only had their beef burgers but also, Nashville chicken, lamb burger, black bean burger, Mac and cheese burger shroom smash burger and fried flounder. All came with yummy French fries. We ordered the shroom burger, brisket burger, all American burger and the spicy Nashville chicken. Everyone enjoyed all the burgers no complaints and all cooked perfectly. They had some nice draft beers to choose from but you could also order anything from the bar. We could not finish all the burgers the smash burger had 2 patties. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with choices. Overall very good experience

Food was ok, nothing spectacular. They didn't have complete descriptions of what was included on the menu and our server didn't know and didn't check. Service was extremely slow. I am all for a leisurely meal but over 2 hours for lunch is a bit ridiculous. Location was beautiful. Not sure we'll return.

We stopped at Monty’s River Grille in Milford before leaving town, and it ended up being the perfect way to wrap up our trip. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of the golf course that makes the whole dining experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
We came for lunch with the family, and everything we ordered was excellent. I had the French onion soup and the bang bang shrimp, and both were absolutely delicious—flavorful, hearty, and super filling. You could really tell that care went into the food. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals just as much, and everyone left happy and satisfied.
On top of the great food, the service was amazing. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It was just one of those meals where everything came together—the food, the view, and the service.
I’d definitely recommend Monty’s River Grille if you’re in the Milford area, whether you’re looking for a nice family lunch or just a spot to relax with great food and a beautiful setting.

We ate brunch there during Milford resaurant week so there were so many menu's on the table, very confusing. All of them were different from the online menu. My husband ordered the breakfast burger with a side of salad instead of the fries. When the waitress came back to the table to check on us he told her that there was no egg on his burger. She said oh! She did not ask if he wanted it separately, did not say that she would take it off the bill...When the bill came there was a $4.00 charge for the side salad and nothing taken off for the missing egg. When he inquired about it she took the $4.00 salad charge off. The rest of us enjoyed our meals as the food was good! The tomatoes in my omelet were hard, dry, tasteless and the core was attached. No one else complained about their food. Service was a bit slow. We sat outside and it definitely was not busy. We all drove a long way (1 hour for us and 1.5 hours for my daughter and SIL) as they were both alumni of SHU. They wanted to see the golf course and restaurant as it was not there when they attended SHU. We thought that alumni might get a discount as we spent tons of money for them to attend SHU, but to our dismay there is no discount on food only golf. The grounds are very pretty and the outdoor cafe around the fireplace was comfortable with couches, tables and umbrellas.

Have not been to Monty's in a a while. The reason was the quality of the food the last was not what you would expect for the price! We were looking for a place for a small celebration and decided to try Monty's once again. This time we were completely satisfied!! Will probably return for a dinner sometime in the near future.
Had a great experience at Monty's. I had a ight dinner with a good friend. We dined outdoors and enjoyed the beautiful view. There were many guests but the noise level was minimal. We both got salads and found them to be fresh and very flavorful. I got grilled steak for my protein and my friend got the grilled salmon. Both were cooked exactly how we requested. We also had the nonalcoholic spritzers, I don't recall the exact name, but it had mango pineapple in it, and it was absolutely refreshing. My friend got another spritzer and she found it wasn't sweet enough. The waitress immediately took it back to the bar to fix, then checked with her to make sure that she found it suitable telling us that if she did not, she would throw it out and make an entirely different drink of her choice.  Services was on point. There was no wait time from when we got into the restaurant and went to the hostess to check in under our reservation. Our server came by shortly after to review specials, and take our order. Our beverages came out within 10 minutes along with bread and butter and within. 20 minutes we had our meals. The service is one of the best I've had post- Covid. I highly recommend checking this place out. I will certainly be back!

Pork chops dry and overdone, steak and potatoes cold. Entrees expensive and not worth the price. If they can't deliver high end dinners they should stick with pub fare! Service and ambiance was excellent! Will order salads or burgers if we go back.

Monty's Grill is a one of my favorite places to eat. I have been there with friends for lunch, dinner and special events. The food is amazing, the staff are welcoming and there is good ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant.
