I’ve been a loyal customer of Nardelli’s for a long time, and the two sons have always been incredibly kind and respectful. They ring the bell, say grazie, and genuinely make you feel appreciated.
Unfortunately, my experience today with John (the owner) was the exact opposite.
When I didn’t understand his question about the amount of mac and cheese, he spoke to me in an extremely rude and unkind way — loud enough for another customer to hear. I felt completely taken aback and honestly, verbally attacked over something so minor.
Even after that, I still tipped 20% (hoping the young girl working would benefit). John didn’t say thank you, didn’t acknowledge it — nothing.
As someone who has supported this business many times, this was incredibly disappointing. I will NEVER return after this experience. No customer should be treated that way.

When I simply didn’t understand his question about the amount of mac and cheese, he became extremely rude and unkind, raising his voice and speaking to me in a way that felt verbally attacking—and this was all in front of another customer. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary.
Despite his behavior, I still tipped 20%, hoping the young woman working would benefit from it. Not only did he fail to show any appreciation, he didn’t even offer a simple “thank you.” The contrast between his behavior and that of his sons is night and day.
As someone who has supported this business repeatedly, this experience was shocking and deeply disappointing. I will absolutely NEVER return. No customer should be treated that way.

Amazing sandwiches and super friendly super fast service. It's expensive for a full grinder but it's basically two meals because the whole one is really huge. Great road stop right off the highway.

ever since I started going to Nardellis they have been the best the way they pack they're subs I can only eat half and you can't beat the price been to Waterbury and Milford they're all good they should advertise they're stuff on social media let people know what you have bring in more business God Bless 🥰🇮🇹👍

My wife and I have lived in many places and we've never had a sandwich that was so delicious, even on the next day. We've eaten our way from coast to coast and this is my far the greatest hero, grinder, sandwich whatever you want to call it. We will never be getting a grinder anywhere else. The quality, quantity and taste is a 10/10.

Years ago, one of my wife's friends took her to Nardellis's. The last time we passed through Connecticut, she kept bragging about it. We never found it till today. Portions we good sized, bread was fresh, and my Italian and my wife's meatball, made the stop worth going out of the way, worth 4 stars. The extra star, is for how acomindating the staff was.

The plant based Italian combo was good ! I think y’all should start writing down the orders because I had to stand there and watch them making sure they put enough of everything . Other than that it was good . A lot of veggie and vegan options
