New server can't tend to the room by himself. And dishes are smaller portions. Unfortunately going downhill. Hire more help

Mama Teresa is now my second favorite place for a plant Parm. Seriously River Street is now my fave. Also, I’m very picky when it comes to meatballs and the meatball appetizer was phenomenal. The price is here very very reasonable. And it is BYOB with a very low corkage fee would normally be an $80 night out for me and my wife turns into a $50 night out. Atmosphere is very relaxed and intimate and the food was fantastic. Everybody at the table was just as pleased as I am and we can’t wait to go back. You definitely will want reservations so make sure you call ahead.

What a wonderful time me and my husband shared at River Street restaurant! Atmosphere was Great and we loved the food. Didn't have to wait long in between meals and quality wise is a 20!!!!

First time we have been here and it was amazing!! Comfort food that was above and beyond! BYOB with delicious dessert! Definitely check it out!
My sister's and I went here and won't go back. We asked for more bread and got a piece of Naan cut into six pieces. The chicken parm was salty and did not seem like fresh chicken, maybe frozen.

Growing up with an Italian mother gives me a level of expertise for commentary here. River Street is like Sunday dinner at home. Plus it’s BYOB just like going to a friend’s house. My problem is I live 1100 miles away in Georgia……but I’ll visit my daughter much more in Milford now. Dinner started with warm bread and pitchers of water that we sipped between our wine. The menu had all the traditional entrees with several local seafood specialties. I chose the Zuppa di Pesce which was my best ever including Arthur Ave., Boston North End and even Montepulciano in Italy. Salad was served family style and enough for 10 for our party of five. No room for dessert but lots of leftover takeout for the NYY fans who stayed home. Mixed feelings about sharing this hidden gem but I like sharing………

I just wanted to reiterate that this restaurant was CLOSED from the health department t. I am going to research why as it most likely was because the restaurant was filthy and perhaps their food was contaminated. we all need to know why and I will circle back!
