the baked goods are not impressive, the staff and how the establishment is even less impressive. they can't manage online orders and in person customers appropriately. the employees AND OWNER are rude. I tried to order baked goods they had on display and they said they were already sold...online...I asked for another item, same thing. I tried a third time SAME DEAL, all sold to online orders. WHY ARE THEY IN THE DISPLAY?? I finally say I'll just take coffee because clearly this place does not service actual people in front of them and they tell me it will be 15 minutes...you guessed it because of online orders. if this is how you want to run your business then close the door and just do online. the owner then came out 15 min later to give me my coffee and basically try and shame me for being frustrated (mind you I had my infant with me at the time). I can't imagine running a business so incredibly poorly and then also being rude to the customer. never will step foot in this establishment again. the bakery isn't even that good, it's not a loss.

Had a great and unique tasting grilled cheese on sourdough, as well as a good mini cheesecake and a cappuccino that was surprisingly great!

Scratch Baking really came through for me on a last minute Pi Day pie order for our engineering office! I probably should have called sooner than the day before but even still they were able to whip up 3 delicious pies for me to pick up the next day! The pies were delicious! I plan to call a little earlier next year since they were a hit!

I don't know what they put on their baked goods but it is magical. I swear the chocolate almond croissant changed my life. Then I had the peanut butter sandwich cookie. I can die happy now.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon hoping to grab a quick lunch. Unfortunately, their lunch menu is not available on Sundays and we had to resort to their bakery case. The only "breakfast" sandwich they had left was a pre-made egg and cheese on a multi-grain roll. Surprisingly better than I expected (bread was hearty and substantial), I just wished I could customize a little more like adding a meat. We also picked up a brownie and cupcake and the baked goods were two thumbs up. I would like to come back to try their lunch menu another day. The place is a quick grab and go, a lot of people pre-ordered and just popped in to pick up. This is definitely the way to go because our 3 "premade" breakfast sandwiches did take 20 mins to heat up. No seats available for those who want to sit down!

Choose Wisely some of the pastries are absolutely First Rate some in particular the scones seem to be over crusted with sugar and if you're looking for good price Street there's a great shop Vincent and Isabel in Fairfield I would suggest you go

Both of our espresso drinks had a horrible aftertaste. I’m no expert but I think it’s the flavor that you get from a machine that needs to be cleaned. Notoriously present in gas station coffee because the machines never get cleaned. I hope they fix this because it’s closer to gas station than a specialty coffee shop. The pastries here are great though.

Scratch Baking is not only a wonderful & unique bakery, it is a caring community partner. I called to ask about a donation for the Bethel Shelter meal and was immediately told yes we would love to do that. They loaded me up with several bags of muffins, bread and pastries. Thank you Scratch <3

We got the pecan rye and coconut puff. Both were delicious! The puff is coated with caramel, milk chocolate, and tons of roasted coconut flakes. The filling! The amount of filling is very satisfying!

The monkey bread, the pecan bars, and the chocolate croissant are excellent. The brownies are not as great as they looked. I wanted to love them, but they were just ok.

This is the best bakery I have ever been. The food is so good and the best thing they have is their cinnamon bun. They have one of if not the best cinnamon buns I have ever had. It is supper big and has a lot of frosting. They are always fresh, but if you want to try one for yourself, you're going to have to go before 12 since they sell out early. It is right in the center of downtown Milford and a perfect spot to come for breakfast and a coffee. The service is also great and they always are pleasant towards you. It's a great place to go and would highly recommend you try it out for yourself.

Picture does not do it justice. Bread is warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. Pro tip: Go during the holidays for that wonderful gingerbread smell
