Dogtown gets all the praise on the other side of Milford (for good reason), but this place deserves just as much hype. These guys can burger... top tier through and through.
I was finally able to check out Small American Kitchen after a long wait. All I can say is, these guys can burger. It's a real hidden gem tucked away on a residential street! The BBQ onion burger was packed with flavor, and even as someone who’s not usually into seasoned fries, theirs hit the mark...well-seasoned and the perfect side. Definitely worth a visit!

Today was my first time visiting this establishment, I may have been their first customer of the day as well! Ordered a cheeseburger with the basic fixings, a side order of sweet potato fries, and a root beer to wash it down. That burger was so good I’m upset I don’t live in the area to frequent them enough. Burger was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful, and the fries with the right amount of tenderness and crispiness you would expect your fries to be! The people working here were very friendly and polite, wonderful customer service! It might be a minute before I come back, rest assure, I will return!

Great burger! I add bacon, egg and cheese and it was perfect!
What a hidden gem! We were a little hesitant when we first pulled up, but we definitely judged this book by its cover too soon. The food completely blew us away! I had the BBQ burger and my husband got the BLT burger, both were absolutely delicious and we’d recommend them in a heartbeat. We also shared the sweet potatoes, and they were hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was a 10/10. Don’t sleep on this place!

I think I just eat the best buffalo chicken wrap in my life ! And I have had plenty from all over CT and many other states! My wife was also just as blown away with the BLT Avocado Burger Wrap! Just Insane how good it was ! Well Done Guys !!! Well Done !!! Will DEFINITELY be coming back !

Solid spot! I hit up Small American Kitchen and got blessed with some Cajun dry rub wings, a bacon cheeseburger with an onion ring tucked inside, and some perfectly seasoned fries. The wings had that dry rub kick without being too salty, just the right balance of spice and flavor. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and that crispy onion ring took it up a level. Bacon was cooked just right—none of that flimsy stuff. And the fries were seasoned like they actually cared.
Overall, real solid comfort food. Good portions, good vibes. Definitely pulling up again.
