Ive been buying Chaves Portuguese rolls for years at all the big y locations. Now they're constantly stale. Its 12/5 today and the date says 12/18 and they're stale on the shelves already. Bye bye Chaves .

I’ve driven by for months very unsure what this place was, very pleasantly surprised to find out it was a Chavez bakery. The staff was really nice and my son loves to get a little treat now and then.

Absolutely horrible service. Every person is either on their phone, or seem bothered to do their job. They're very rude and unwilling to help answer questions. Same people always working and yet never know the prices of what they're selling, which is mostly store bought that they just resell. Been here four times and each time becomes worse than the last. Rude, beyond words.

Have been here before as a walk in. Tried to call and order today, a Saturday at 3pm.....they won't pick up the phone! I tried 6x over 30 minutes. I called Chaves in Shelton to check the phone number and they said they had nothing to do with them.
With no website, no way to order online and heavily tinted windows that makes it look like they are closed..... I do not think they will be around long.

Understaffed, and very incompetent. No lids for coffee to go , sandwich that was ordered was made wrong , and the kicker… strings of Plastic ! found in cold cut sandwich!? Good luck to this place .

Very disappointed.....after years and years of going to Portuguese bakeries I cannot say how terrible this was....the two young women working were both lost with no idea what was going on...I ordered a few baked items by name and we had to use the finger point system because she didn't know what was what and I watched as everyone's sandwiches were coming out incorrectly....to the point of one gentleman just walking out without it....With three people in front of me I waited for a simple sandwich which was also incorrect but had no more time to be there.....such a beautiful little place in a great location I would advise the owners to either be there or have employees with more experience....now I know why there was only 3 people there.
