Service was great. Food was okay. Fish and chips and chicken were too dry. The only delicious food we had on our table was the specials. Moon fish. The place was extremely noisy. It wasn't possible to hear friends talking. In addition tables stay too close to each other. The fun part was they had live music. Chairs were comfortable. Place is clean.
Food is great, atmosphere is very nice!

We absolutely loved this place. The owners didn't know us, but made us feel right at home and incredibly welcomed. The cocktails were on point and the whiskey selection was tremendous. Really enjoyed talking whiskey with Constantin and feel like I made a friend in Monroe.

Plenty of gluten-free options.
Staff showed professionalism.
The store was decorated nicely.
Stopped into Monroe Social in Monroe, CT on 9/28/25. Solid spot overall -- I'd give it .
The crab cakes were the standout. Two good-sized Maryland-style cakes, nicely seared and packed with crab (not filler). They came over a bed of fresh arugula and parmesan with a lemony kick and chili aioli that tied it together really well.
The fish and chips were classic -- a big, flaky piece of wild cod fried golden. Fries were solid, tartar sauce hit the spot.
Tried the crispy chicken sandwich too. Juicy chicken, cheddar, bacon, pickles, and the same chili aioli they used on the crab cakes. Really tasty combo, and the fries on the side were crisp.
Overall: good food, friendly vibe, and worth a return visit.

We frequent here regularly. Love the staff and owners. Love trying the new dishes and new wines. Restaurant is cozy and exceptionally clean. A few times a year the owners have a tasty wine/food pairing night.. Its excellent every time.

Best Old Fashioned around. Great bourbon, great staff, great ambiance, owner is great, food menu is extensive and the food is amazing . Go-to bar in the area! A++
When you decide to give a restaurant a try, you expect to have a good experience, this was not the case at this restaurant.
There was no particular reason why we couldn’t get good service. The waitress was reluctant to take care of us. She did not come back to us. It was like being in the twilight zone , so the only thing that we could deduct from that is that we are a diverse family, and the waitress, perhaps given our current state of affairs and color divide in our country did not want to take care of a diverse family.
Needless to say, we will never be back and it’s unfortunate because we love to eat out and try new places .

One of the best hidden gems in Connecticut. Great food, awesome service, and a big drink selection. Wednesday is kids eat free day which was a very pleasant surprise.
The owner stopped by our table to see how everything was.
Definitely going to go back.
