MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill

Very underwhelming. I expected for the prices and it being a MJ restaurant the food would be phenomenal but it was very blah. My husband got the waygu burger he said it was overcooked and dry. I got an order of wings and it was $16 for 7 wings which is crazy. The prices are definitely high for the atmosphere the restaurant just has a few TVs around it half of them which were all messed up in color. The manager was walking the restaurant in constant circles kept checking in with us which I felt was very overbearing. Ok a manager checking in 1 time fine, but every few minutes it's uncomfortable. Definitely won't be going back.

My wife, sister-in-law and I were actually taken care of by the manager named Chris. The restaurant was extremely busy but his service was great. It is impressive to see management jumping in at any level to assure a pleasant visit.

The food was very good, server was many times “delayed” and very difficult to hear our table conversation due to the high noise level.

MJ23 burgers were great. It was extremely noisy, to the extent that we couldn't really have a conversation. Maybe because it was after Connecticut Sun game, will probably try again.

Food and service was great but there was a very loud customer at the table next to us. Extremely loud and obnoxious. I know at least one table complained but no one spoke ever spoke to the woman at all. Management should have addressed this customer. You dont expect that kind of behavior at such a nice establishment. I did not give lower stars because I know that overall this is a nice restaurant.

We have never been here and the food was amazing. We came to celebrate my son's 17th birthday and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. A bit loud but it's a ‘sports bar' defiantly will come again!

The food and drinks were great, but it was extremely loud in there. Very hard to have a conversation with the person across the table from me. 

Everyone at MJ's was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was exceptional and the overall experience was great. We did have to wait about 20 minutes even though we had a 6:15 reservation but, other than that, it was wonderful.

It's my favorite place to eat at the casino. The steak tip app was amazing. French onion soup & crème brûlée with berries very good as well. Server was very nice but could have been more attentive. Place is always noisy, but it is what it is.

After being seated took about 20min to get our drinks once placed. Then another 20min before our server came back to take our order. After placing the order we received the appetizer of the pretzel but we didn't receive the wings we ordered because our waitress forgot to enter it I'm even when she wrote it on her pad. We had to ask if the wings were going to still come after we received our dinner plates. Ended up never getting the wings which was disappointing. The. I ordered the 12oz strip steak medium and it came rare, knowing I ordered the steak medium the server noticed a was like is that too red for you. Normally I don't care and would have finished it but up to this point the service was so poor for a $150 bill, I just wanted to leave even with not finishing or packing my food, there are some times you just have enough of someone. And this waitress was the worst. Was sitting in a conference/convention all day and just wanted something to brighten my day up, and this just totally ruined the day. It's not that hard to get an order right, we do it in Healthcare all the time when a Dr places an order we carry it out with out room for error, can't believe I left a $20 tip for nothing.

The manager, Dave I believe his name is, was so kind to us upon arrival and checked in throughout our reservation. It was our anniversary, and although there were no free dessert or anything, the experience was wonderful as we were looking for something more lowkey. Both of our meals were wonderful. I ordered their open steak sandwich special (now a top 5 meal for me) with a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, and my partner ordered a burger with a cocktail. I couldn't stop saying how this was going to be a meal I'd miss, and want again. The only issue we had, was the restaurant wasn't aware of the hotel package we had booked through Mohegan and had questions about upon checkout - our waitress was amazing but had no actual idea about how we would pay with our credits.

Give MJ23 a try... you won't be disappointed. My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. He thoroughly enjoyed it; crunchy coating breaks into a very juicy chicken breast. I had the cob salad with crispy chicken. The dish is my favorite. The salad comes with honey mustard dressing and loads of bacon, blue cheese crumbles, avocado, hard-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, and a blend of greens....delicious.

Food is great. Service was good but food took an exceptionally long time to come out. We have been there many times when it was very busy and never waited as long for food. Noise level is always very loud. That is the one thing I wish they could improve on.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Waitress was super great and so friendly. She explained the specials, which we took advantage of. Wonderful place to dine, great meal.

Food was amazing my son and I had a great time and I definitely will be back with the wife the nachos are the best I had
