Having been a customer for over 10 years, I was quite disappointed when on Feb.18, 2024 when we went at 3pm when the restaurant opened and very few people were there at the time, that Ballo’s would not accommodate my dietary request. We sat down ordered iced teas and ended up leaving after paying for our drinks.On that day, I went to order chicken Francese and asked that the garlic be omitted. I was told by the waiter they can no longer remove the garlic as the sauce was pre-made.Since I don’t eat fish or red meats, I asked if I could just have a side of spaghetti with a little butter and fresh spinach & Parmesan cheese. The waiter left to ask the kitchen and said no.My husband & I then paid for our iced teas and left.It is still bothering me that such a simple dinner request could not be accommodated.In every restaurant I go to and order chicken Francese, the garlic can be omitted.Never mind that my second request was flatly refused. A simple pasta dish could not be made? The food industry is serviced based and it’s the customers that pay for the food & service.I think that was lost on my Feb.18, 2024 visit.

Beautiful restaurant with elegant, castle-like atmosphere tucked inside of Mohegan Sun. Always very busy, so be sure to get a reservation. Everything from the appetizers to the desserts (Tiramosi and more) is excellent. Must try the cheese wheel when you visit, they light it up and pour the cheese right on top of the pasta. The meatball appetizer is always a go-to, as well as the parm dishes, francese dishes, and steaks. Check it out!Vegetarian options: Yes, there are plenty of pasta, salad, and meatless dishes.Dietary restrictions: Options.Parking: Valet casino resort parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes, though the environment is more suited for adults.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, one level.

so Ballo used to be our favorite place to eat while staying at Mohegan Sun. This past weekend was my husband's birthday so I made reservations for dinner. My margarita tasted like water flavored with lime and a drop of tequila. We were told they no longer bring bread to the table but we can purchase bread as an appetizer!?? Whattt? The server was so indifferent and some random person brought out the cake with a candle and walked away. I have to say the actual food was good but again they no longer offer their Sunday sauce. Too many things not being offered yet the prices keep increasing.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BALLOS - haven’t been there in a while because i really want the original garlic bread and original raviolis back…. i put the original garlic bread picture up because it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor and the sauce on the side was amazing… i really wish for it back it was my absolute favorite thing to eat atleast 2 times a week and i haven’t been there in over a month because im just sad… lol.i love all the staff & food - amazing !

This place is amazing every time I go!! The food is always perfect and delicious. The staff is always on top of there game. Very attentive with every fine detail. Highly recommended anytime you visit the casino!

I have not been to Ballo in a while and use to go quite frequently, I have to say last night I was disappointed. the "homemade' bread was not fresh and the appetizer and meals were ok at best. I don't think i be going back anytime soon and that's unfortunate, this place use to be a gem.

I am now officially done with this restaurant. Their “specialty” Chicken Parm was absolutely hideous. Dry, rubbery, zero taste, massively overpriced are just a few words to describe. Must share that folks who had the “special” Pasta dish raved about their meals, so there’s the full disclosure.The waiter couldn’t have been more inattentive…..no personality, seemed as though we were bothering him when we wanted additional drink orders ( pretty strange when the liquor prices are out of sight as well.).AND, the basket of bread that was always brought to the table, will now cost you $10 per order.I’d suggest a coal oven pizza instead of this place going forward….And what a shame….as this place was top-notch five or six years ago.

I ordered the Fettuccine in cream sauce with a taste of lemon. My husband ordered the Swordfish special. I ordered a Caesar salad to start and my husband ordered the Meatballs. We both split the dessert of Olive Oil cake with whipped cream. Everything was very delicious and we enjoyed everything. Thank you to Jesse and the Chef.

Excellent food and service. The burrata with shaved truffles was delicious and the broken lasagna pasta dish was superb. Excellent and attentive waiter who made a solid recommendation on the wine. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Another lovely experience at Ballo! Pedro was a gem and provided impeccable service. Food was good, though it doesn't feel like the quality of flavor has changed a bit since our last visit. The dishes were a little more bland (caesar salad was lacking salt, and the a la vodka felt like it needed...something... it was a bit "one note). Overall though, the food was not BAD, just not as flavorful as we've come to expect. Cocktails were terrific and water service/clearing was timely but not rushed. Communication about our reservation was great and we loved being ushered right to our seats when we arrived.

The restaurant was very accommodating. My original reservation was for 2 people, they allowed me to change it to 3 people last min. (I had to change the reservation to 1 hour later, but that was fine) The Host/Manager Jen who greeted us at the door was super friendly and very kind. The waiter was professional and our food was brought out to us very fast. (it was awesome because we had theater tickets that night) The food was delicious.

Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. However, around 8pm we were asked to sit at the bar as there was a party of 35 coming in and our table was needed in order to accommodate them. If I had known that there was a time limit on our reservation I would have gone elsewhere. Thank you.
