Great food, but portion sizes were quite large. Drink selection was great. Wait staff was running around like crazy with so many people, didn't feel like we got a lot of attention.
The music was too loud. I had difficulty hearing my partner that was in front of me across the table. I felt like the servers had to yell so they can be heard. That threw off my experience totally. Its beautiful inside but was hard to appreciate because of how loud it was in there.
The ambience is very aesthetically pleasing. Our potstickers were not hot they came out cool.
The music is obnoxiously loud. They have a DJ playing music that you'd expect to hear in a dance club. It's also as loud as you'd get in a dance club. We had to shout to talk to each other and the waitress. The sushi was good, not great. The BBQ spare ribs were good. The filet mignon was very good, but rare, instead of medium rare. I would never go back, due to the loud music. My ears have been ringing since we left
Food and service was amazing. We had a last minute add from 2 people to 3 that was accompanied with no issue. Thank you for a great experience and awesome food.
First time to TAO, very impressed. The food was very good, service time was big long. Music could be quieter.
The DJ needs to go. Did NOT know how to read the room and was too focused on jiving to what he was playing. Noting in any genre to the age of the clientel. Just LOUD music that made conversations difficult. As for the the food? Great Tao-tini, but the rest wasn't anything to write home about. The wagu steak was almost warm, and by the time it quickly dropped to room temperature, it was akin to trying to chew rubber bands. Not worth the price. The service was, however, superb.
Neal exceeded our expectations. Knowledgeable, friendly, and fun tips about the meal preps. One of the best servers we had.

My wife and I have been to Mohegan many times and finally decided to try Tao. Can honestly say I wasn't impressed and was expecting a different experience.
The food really wasn't much better than you can get at any corner Chinese restaurant for a quarter of the price. Although I can say the triple pork fried rice was very good. Service wasn't over the top, adequate for an average restaurant, but not exceptional for a restaurant in this price range. And the whole DJ in the corner spinning club music full blast was totally unexpected and actually quite annoying. I don't know who's bright idea this was. I couldn't tell if I was at a rave or a restaurant. Also, the $20 bar drinks is getting out of hand, not just here, but everywhere. I understand it's at a casino resort and I expect and was prepared to pay a premium, but I just don't think the money justified the experience here. But, at least we finally tried it.

I came here for my birthday my boyfriend made reservations requested the round booth and let them know it was for my birthday. Didnt get the booth even though there was plenty. Our server barely came over it took 20 mins from us being done with food before she showed back up. Worst birthday dinner ive had. Cared more about the large tables than anything and spent Lot And last time i was here i got a candle. Felt horrible and was a bit annoyed about it all as i was very excited.
This used to be our go to place. But the quality of food has gone down hill significantly.
Let me start by saying the atmosphere is very nice. And the servers are ALWAYS amazing.
But the food quality has become meh. I always get the wagu ribeye. Well, it’s become the 70% ribeye and 30% fat. The choice of cuts has been less than acceptable.
And last time we went the seabass skewers were barely warm.
For the prices, we should walk out not only full, but smiling and full.

Beautiful restaurant!
Service was a little slow, hard to get waters refilled, and our larger group was seated into a booth that was too small for our size. Tried to do two separate checks for our group, however that’s not allowed.
Food was excellent though! The tuna crispy rice was fantastic. The Tao Tuesday deal was great - for $100 two people pick 2 apps, an entree, a rice/noodle dish and donuts. I enjoyed everything we tried!
My coworker had the miso sea bass and wow! The sauce was incredibly flavorful. Dumplings were good too.
