Everything was wonderful! Food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Service was perfect. Attentive, but not intrusive. It was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Cannot recommend enough!
My partner and I had a wonderful dinner; extraordinary food eclipsed only by the impeccable service and friendly staff.
Things started out well: I think the manager was there. Once he left we simply could not and did not get any service. I had to get up twice and go to the bar to ask for another drink. Better staff at our local diner. Noise level off the charts due to some unbelievably loud talkers, but that's not the restaurant's fault.
The winvian is always top notch. You can't go wrong there. Service, atmosphere, food and drink are impeccable.
We cant stop talking about how much we enjoyed Winvian today. It was our first time and we just moved to the area, Christina was amazing.. gave us terrific advice, all the staff was fabulous. The food was delicious, we cant wait to come for dinner. We are definitely going to be spending alot of time at Winvian, thank you!! Michael & Stephen
Did the fixed price menu. Food was amazing, service could not have been more attentive. Would have liked a few more appetizer and dinner options but would highly recommend Winvian for a special evening.
It was our first time visiting. Excellent service, ambience, delicious food. Caesar salad was large enough for 2 of us to share. It was filled with fresh herbs, crisp,lettuce and tasty dressing. Burger was huge, cooked exactly as requested. Ricotta ravioli were light, refreshing in sage brown butter sauce. We're still thinking about the mousse with poached pineapple dessert. Can't wait to return,
... I am a chef...proud, dedicated 40yrs. Hospitality is and was the mission. A+ambiance, staff, OUTSTANDING Ok...for me this is very hard ...but truth be told..if truly the recognized Hospitality venue that you truly are. NO question, your premises ...beautiful, just beautiful. Now let's talk Ceasars Salad...few visible garnishes buried under Frisbee and romaine, half Hazard display...DISAPPOINTING...uou are talented enough...do better Cheese course display not representing your delicious cuisine. A...SLATE DRIES OUT CHEESE. B.THE CHEESE SUCKED...cheddar was dry, hard..check it out ..the olives had pits, think about the guests experience with said olives...flavorell and boring. Honey.wax combo SUCKED, lol..chewing a way laced everything bites...bad idea...get back to basics..focus on the cheese .. not the foofoo jellies, the cheese is the star if the show... I know, I'm sorry..lastly...feeding people is an honor...whether a tavern, bar,cafe, or 5 star resort...cook with you soul, your guts,,,your heart will follow. Made a reservation for Saturday afternoon for a table of 3 on our way to a Norfolk concert. We drove an hour out of our way to stop for lunch and I specifically requested an outdoor table because last time we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden near the stream. We arrived at 12:45 and literally not one person was seated outside so they sat us inside. I inquired with the female maître d about the 4 top set for 3 on the patio and mentioned we requested a table outdoors. I was told it was reserved for someone else. She came back and offered to seat us at a table for 2 on the patio - again, there were 3 of us and literally not one person sitting outside, every table was open. We didn't want to argue so we remained at our table inside. One hour later, still nobody seated outside and a single man arrived and was seated at the preset 3 top that we were told was reserved. He dined by himself at the 4 top that was preset for 3 - the table we requested. What is the purpose of a reservation if your reservation is completely disregarded? It ruined or experience. I will say that food is always delicious - though a note, the bolognese claims to be served with “hand rolled pasta” and is absolutely not! It's dried pasta, which is served perfectly al dente.
We had lunch here for the first time on the 4th of July! This little place is so lovely and quiet. The service was very attentive. Everyone we encountered was great! The ambience was perfect— we sat outside overlooking the resort grounds and we even got a nice little walk in after our meal touring the property. Our meal was delicious, everything had the right amount of flavor and it was the perfect portion of food for us. We both ordered cocktails which were decorated with a fresh flower from the garden, a really nice touch! We definitely plan on coming back!
Went for lunch for our Anniversary. Beautiful Day. We sat outside ... the property is so beautiful. Staff couldn't be kinder and more attentive. Strawberry Mojitos were super.
We came for lunch on Father'sDay. We were able to get a drink at the bar and walk the grounds before our reservation. Rachel in the restaurant and Cheryl in the Spa (that we were able to tour) were very welcoming and hospitable to my family and I. Cannot wait to return. Thank you :)
