Happened to pass by this place and stepped in to see what options were available. The place offers from beer to chocolate and coffee. Bought the affogato with some great expectations. While it's clearly displayed it basic soft serve ice cream served with coffee the affogato didn't stand up to expectations. It was just flat with no flavor of coffee. The affogato is not the best of the choice.

Such a lovely shop. Down the street is so busy, but this is just the perfect, quiet corner right across from the museum. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere, the barista was very kind and helpful with choosing items and if we needed anything. I had my very first affogato and it was amazing! Made with soft serve which i love but i guess it's usually gelato.

I was excited to visit this little cafe in mystic after reading reviews, but disappointed as they don't sell individual chocolate truffles. We purchased one chocolate covered Oreo for our son and didn't return. We like to sample different items whenever we visit shops like this. The majority of chocolates are sold as sets ranging from $18-$32.

I went here with my mom and I'm so glad we did. The owner was working and greeted us with a smile. He was happy to strike up a conversation about the business and informed us that he travels to the locations of his cacao farmers including Ecuador and Hawaii! He knew a lot about the cacao industry and the way he spoke it was so obvious that this isn't just a business, it's a passion. My mom got the regular 70% drinking chocolate with a shot of espresso and I got the 70% Mayan drinking chocolate that was medium spicy. It had just the right amount of kick and was like drinking a premium chocolate bar. Definitely the best chocolate beverage I've ever had! Next time I return to mystic I will be retuning to the Mystic River Chocolate Café. Service 10/10,flavor 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Try it out, you'll be so happy you did!

The smell is divine. -came when the cafe just opened -The owner was present and pleasant(well traveled and makes authentic chocolate, specifically from Ecuador) 🦋 I got the oat milk 70% hot chocolate with whip cream and OMG it was simply incredible. Definitely recommend for true chocolate lovers (I’m very well traveled as well, just came back from a trip from Peru) . 🦋 I loved it so much, that I got a second cup of the same to go. Saved every moment while walking around the cute shops , the bridge and all. -very spacious cafe -good atmosphere and ambience -very chill vibes (from the cafe looking out the window, it feels like you’re in Brooklyn) -there’s a bathroom for customers -there’s other products here on sale as well, definitely have a look - - Overall definitely recommend
