Excellent food and atmosphere is busy and bustling. The wait is sometimes a pain but worth it. The margaritas are the best in the area!!

Americanized tacos. Not very good. People in CT like them because there is not any authentic Mexican restaurants/taquerias in the area.

The best tacos on the Northeastern Seaboard!Had take out once and accidentally got charged for a dine in order as well. Called to ask about the double charge that I saw on my statement and the manager was very quick to respond and handle the issue!Have been a recurring customer for a while now. Taquerio is a destination that anyone visiting the Mystic area should definitely check out!

We live around the corner and have been a few times. It is absolutely solid Mexican (especially since we can walk to it), and the vibe is relaxed. Server quality varies widely as we've had very warm and friendly to absolutely ice-cold servers (the reason for 4 starts vs. 5). We'll keep going as the food is solid, it's close, and we hope that we get a friendly server.

Interesting, re-puropsed use of an old gas station. It is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. There is a small bar and table seating inside and outside. The food was good and the service was very fast and friendly. They have a small selection of local craft beer. The happy hour specials included drink and menu discounts. We ordered chips and salsa, a side of guacamole, and 6 tacos (2 carnitas, 2 grilled swordfish, and 2 fried cod fish)Parking: At 4pm on a Friday afternoon in March their small gravel parking lot was full so we parked on the street a short walk away. I could see this being a problem during the warmer months.

Wow, Taquerio is one cool taco spot! We were over in Mystic and my sister was craaving tacos. Taquerio popped up in our search. Once a gas station and car garage, this place has so much character. I love how it was renovated without hiding that fact, using it to their advantage with a wicked cool outdoor patio, bar area, and mechanic shop decor. It reminded me of Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure. Our server was fantastic and the food came out quick. The menu was simple... Tacos! There were also nachos with queso or guacamole, and desserts. Each taco was $4-$6 each from beef to chicken to vegetarian. We each got 3 different tacos and they were stuffed! We got Barbacoa, Carnitas, Pollo Verde, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Fried Plantain, Mojo Wild Mushroom and Shrimp Ceviche. The Shrimp Ceviche taco was fun since it was in a lettuce wrap. Everything was fresh, flavorful and was filling. We had no room for dessert. One little thing we were confused on was the parking. Since it was in a downtown area, there were parking areas reserved for other shops and businesses. There was a fenced-in parking lot directly behind Taquerio, but it wasn't marked. Luckily, we found off-street parking that wasn't too far of a walk. I would love to visit Taquerio during the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor seating. There were some corn hole games set up too. I can only imagine having a good time. Great food and great vibes.

Amazing restaurant! The staff are all so friendly. The food is AWESOME. Everything comes out super fast, and always tastes fresh. We love the variety of options and the size of the tacos are perfect and lets us try a few different ones each time we visit. 5/5 hands down!

Tacos were tasty. Nachos (we ask for any meat) were excellent! We ordered takeout and unfortunately the tacos were cold by the time we started eating them. Taquerio is definitely worth a stop, but I would recommend eating your food there and enjoying a beer at the same time. The staff is attentive and upbeat, they are family friendly, and the garage motif works really well.
