The service was great as well as the coffee but I have to say that the breakfast potatoes I was served tasted like leftovers that were warmed up.

such a cute little brunch spot! the food & coffee were amazing, the bakery looked super delicious & the service was top tier. the hostess, jenna, was SO sweet and attentive. the aesthetic of the restaurant was well put together & very clean. not to mention, they have plants everywhere that come from the plant store right next store (also super cute would recommend checking out!). if you’re looking for a new breakfast/lunch spot, check them out!??

Greeted warmly & enjoyed friendly service. Staff seems happy which I hope reflects positive management for our service workers. Loved our chicken sandwich with generous side of sweet potatoes..yummy, fresh flavors. Had a delicious fresh juice (cucumber kale & pineapple). My husband enjoyed the apple cider. They have a cute lil bakery section with delicious cupcakes too! My fav place we ate on our way thru mystic.

I had higher expectations of this place but sadly I was let down. I ordered a Bloody Mary (make it spicy). It was just a plain Bloody Mary, no garnish, very weak on the alcohol. And the part I found was it came with a salted rim like a margarita.
For my main dish I had the Lobster Benny on gluten free bread, it looked delectable at first glance but as I'm getting into I can clearly see that the Lobster is very dry and overcooked. The asparagus was also overcooked making it tough to cut, it just got very stringy. The poached eggs atop everything were also overcooked. The yolk had been mostly cooked through, so not much of that delicious egg yolk you'd see in a traditional eggs benedict

Dietary restrictions: They over lots of gluten free options. And if it's not gluten free. They can find a way to make it Gluten free.

We stopped here for breakfast around 9. It opens earlier than the shops around it and has a nice selection of breakfast items. Restaurant was very clean and bright. We were first to arrive but it gradually fills as you get closer to the rest of the shops opening. Staff was friendly and checked on us regularly. Food was very good and I would say the quality is more towards the higher end than what you might find at a diner. I had the crab omelet and it was good but not quite as good as Kitchen Little but the meal as a whole was elevated by believe it or not the potatoes. They were dry well seasoned and just a nice savoury taste to go with the omelette. Now my son (early 20’s)had the corned beef benny and he preferred this version over Kitchen Little. Specifically the way it was prepared and how the egg and hash were cooked.
If you plan on visiting the village go early and have breakfast. You will not be disappointed plus you get really great parking spots before everyone shows up.

This used to be the Blue Squid. The current owner bought it a few years ago and is making it their own. Right on the edge of Mystic Village you will find indoor and outdoor seating options. Both are full service.
You might think paying $14.25 for a grilled cheese and some fries is a bit much, but let me tell you, it is not your average grilled cheese. It was amazing! So fast and perfectly toasted with a little bowl of tomato soup for dipping. Perfect combo. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the village before 5pm.

I ordered the Feta and Watermelon salad and was served dry and seemingly unwashed salad, shown by the fact that exactly two hours after having just one piece of cheese and watermelon, and some of the salad, I had to pause my trip to vomit uncontrollably. Cute place though

We got the salted honey latte, the espresso tonic, the ricotta strawberry toast, the sweet potato toast and the chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and the drinks were beautifully crafted. It had some nice outside seating and the food arrived quickly. The toasts were small but priced fairly and you can always get multiple.

We went several times when it was the bleu squid and it because our go to for breakfast when we went to Mystic.

However, after this last visit I don’t think that will be the case. It was a busy holiday weekend so I’m not sure if it was just bad timing but the inside was packed so we were told we could order “to go” and eat outside on the porch. That was fine, but meanwhile we typically spend our breakfasts while on vacation planning our day and while this place has WiFi, they declined to give us the password when we asked and they are situated in a dead zone for cellular coverage. I don’t recall ever having an issue here in the past. It’s 2024 and a restaurant that is marketing itself as a cocktail spot doesn’t offer WiFi? It was just strange.

Then, while our food was ready within a reasonable amount of time, because it was to go, we ate our eggs Benedict out of a cardboard box. Not the end of the world, but with so many other good breakfast and brunch places in town with better atmosphere and WiFi I don’t think we’ll come back to this one. If you want a cocktail, Jealous Monk is right there and is a great place for that. I’m not sure what they were going for with this rebrand as it’s certainly not a place to hang out.
