1st time in the city I’m from Cleveland, it’s excellent the lobster rolls definitely a go to when I come back highly recommended I had 2 lol

Lobster rolls (both hot and cold) were as good as they get. Lobster was tender and sweet, bread was perfectly toasted and buttery. Coleslaw was perfectly dressed.
Clams and shrimp cocktail were also excellent. You can taste how fresh everything is.
Tl;dr: Solid 4.5 star lobster roll. Order the clam fritters too
Cook kindly fried 2 clam fritters upon request so that I could have pipping hot fritters. Lobster roll was well buttered and meat was fresh tasting. Half a star off as claw meat tasted dry - was it reheated? Bun was delicious and fluffy.
Clam fritters The long fry time gave the fritters a dark brown almost burnt look, but it is not! Great flavor and chew. And the craggy protrusions meant great crunch. They provide tartar sauce to pair with the fritters. Tasted house made, tangy and creamy. Clams were sweet, fresh, slightly briny. Yummy.

Such a local GEM ???? As a true new englander, and someone born and raised in Rhode Island I am always searching for the freshest seafood. I am 100% seafood snob, and J&R Seafood went above and beyond my expectations.
Last Friday I enjoyed their fish and chips, which was delicious, lightly battered and fried perfectly. Hand cut fries with a great seasoning on them! Clam chowder was great too, and even had bacon in it. Highly recommend.
I have also enjoyed their Spicy Tuna sushi, salmon, scallops, and shrimp! Everything is always great, next time your in town, vacationing, or a local GO SEE THEM!
