Taste of Jamaica is a small bodega filled with authentic Jamaican spices, herbs, snacks, and more (lots of interesting Jamaican goods). I tried their jerk chicken meal and the flavor was great, the spice blend was perfect. The jerk sauce drizzled on top was good but I just wish they gave more to eat with the rice. Overall a decent jerk chicken meal!

Ordered from Uber eat, 2 large jerk chicken and 1 large curry chicken. Food arrived on time, but worst jerk chicken I’ve ever tasted, both jerk and curry very salty, with lots of gravy. Jerk chicken looking and tasting like boiled chicken they splattered with gravy. Uncooked rice and peas, dried white rice, no plantains, no vegetables. We had to throw the entire order in the trash. Total disappointment!!! Never again!

There was no customers inside, but there was one lonely worker. Immediately she said hi and asked what she could get for me. (I already looked at the menu online before arriving, but I was still undecided.) I decided to go with one of my favorite foods, Oxtails. I got it with rice and beans. When I opened the container, I was surprised to see cabbage and plantains in there as well. (Next time, I'm definitely getting more plantains on the side.) The food was perfect. The oxtails were SO tender and flavorful. The rice and beans was good as well. I definitely loved the plantains too. I also got a rum cake and a pound cake (I like cake.) Both were fantastic! And the portions were great for the price. I will be back!

Worst tasting patty I ever had. I ordered jerk chicken and specified the part of the chiken I wanted. Didn't get that. The rice and peas was tasteless, although the drowned in with gravy.

I can honestly say, I use to eat here almost 2 times a week but 2 years ago. I stopped coming because of the quality just wasn't there. Something has changed and I feel like they are back and better than every. I could taste the coconut in the rice and everything tasted fresh. Thank you Uber for that coupon.

In this non assuming restaurant you will find some of the best Jamaican food this side of Kingston. ? Not to mention some of the friendliest people. I was deeply saddened to hear that they were planning on selling their restaurant as I have been going there for years as it is my go to for Jamaican food. I'll just have to visit them more frequently before it gets sold. ? Keep up the good work guys, I'll definitely miss you when you are gone. ?

I went in to try the Jamaican beef patties. They were good. The woman who was at the counter was not very friendly...I am considering returning but did not feel very welcome.Perhaps if she were more friendly, she could have guided me in exploring something a little different than what I've eaten from the catering trucks.By not being friendly and approachable, you are missing out on other potential sales and business. That is basic customer service 101...The area in which this restaurant is located isn't too bad. The place is a little on the small side but appeared to be clean.

THEY SERVE OLD FOOD!!! Purchased soup from this place a couple of months ago and forgot to come leave a review. I'm Jamaican these people are NOT Jamaicans. I knew something was wrong when I placed the order and she took over 10 minutes to bring my soup. By the look of the soup, I knew it was cooked yesterday, I tasted 1 spoon and confirmed, that it was old soup and I had to throw it out. Waste of time going here and a waste of money.
