Visiting family and came here for lunch on Sunday. Nice atmosphere. Very good service. Had the Farmer’s omelet with home fries. Delicious. Plan to go back to try another selection on menu. Family members love the chicken salad sandwiches.

Absolutely loved our lunch....!! The French lentil soup was really good and my chopped salad fresh and delicious (liked the chopped beets in it). My aunt raved about her beet salad with goat cheese and my daughter had the taco salad special. Great additional downtown Darien .

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes that you might think twice before coming here. Very briefly, we were served two seriously burnt burgers (or, more accurately, two seriously burnt burgers were angrily dumped in front us) and, when we told our server, they were taken away and returned to us on new buns with the most egregiously burnt parts cut off. Adding insult to injury, the "gentlemen" who served us demanded we cut them in half to opine on the doneness. I'm not sure I remember such an infuriating restaurant experience, no less at the $19 burger price point. Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you choose not to go to Baldanza because of this review, I'd really appreciate it if you gave it a thumbs up; it will do my hear good:)

Lunch was excellent . I had one of the best omelets ever and my wife's sandwich was delicious. the atmosphere is vry casual but the food was more than that. The servers were efficient and willing to satisfy any request. Will go back.

We took my dad here on a visit to New Canaan and we had a great experience. Service was attentive and prompt, and the menu has several delicious options -- it's tough to choose! We started with the burrata, which was creamy perfection and also a warm brussel sprout caesar salad, which was also tasty and different. My dad ordered the halibut, which had an interesting citrus glaze on it and was cooked perfectly. My husband had the tuna steak entree cooked rare, which was seasoned well and also delicious. I had the rock shrimp scampi, a special that night, that was delicious and would have paired great with a glass of white wine. Baldanza is a great spot for a date night, small gathering of friends, or hosting relatives in town -- we'll definitely be back!
I had dinner with my husband and mother-in-law at Baldanza and our experience was fantastic. The meal began with bread and some pita with beet hummus, both of which were tasty. The mandarin sidecar my husband ordered was absolutely delicious. Our entrees included the shrimp scampi special, a warm Brussels sprouts salad + lobster Mac and cheese, and a short rib burger. The short rib burger (requested to be cooked medium) was a bit dry but everything else was excellent. Their pasta has the most perfect texture and flavor, so I'd definitely recommend ordering a pasta dish. For dessert we had carrot cake, which was great! Though the food was all amazing, what we really enjoyed was the service. Our waiter (I wish I remembered his name) was very attentive and quite entertaining. Will definitely be back!

My go to spot in town to meet my husband from the train. Conveniently located to train station, delicious food, great happy hour and wine specials and TVs for sports when you want them! Family friendly and great date night spot too. And the staff is always friendly and accommodating!

The setting at the new Baldanza is very pleasant. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The Chef, Tim, provided personal service and the food was wonderful. We had the ora king salmon and halibut ceviche with avacado, shallots and EVO, the buffalo burrata bruchetta w/rosemary crostinis, hand cut tuna tartare w/avacado fried leeks, grassfed organic all beef burger w/cheddar, gruyere and bacon jam (delicious!), and the trumpet pasta w/porcini, shitake, button and oyster mushrooms w/truffle butter sauce. We tried a lot! And it was all fantastic. Everything was done to perfection, it was a delightful experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The location is very convenient, on the main street, with plenty of parking after 6PM for free.
