“My husband and I had an incredible dining experience here. We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Chettinad, and the meat sampler, and everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken kebabs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. Every dish was perfectly cooked and so satisfying. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun — so, so good and the perfect way to end the meal. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We can’t wait to go back!”

“Bar Vida is for sure my favorite smoothie/juice place in the Fairfield County area! I highly recommend their Malibu smoothie which is strawberry-based (I usually add peanut butter to mine) and their immunity juices/shots which are cold-pressed and homemade with lemon, ginger, cayenne pepper, and apple. Once you have Bar Vida it's hard to go back to any other smoothie/juice place!”

“We’d flown across the continent from Vancouver to New York, and drove up from Midtown to New Canaan to see something quieter. The moment we parked on Elm Street, it felt like the right destination. The name might belong to old horror movies, but the street was nothing but calm. My wife called it “cute” about a thousand times, and she wasn’t wrong.

We walked the shops, stepped in and out of small storefronts, and followed a narrow back alley when hunger finally caught up with us. That’s how we found Back End — tucked away, sunny, and exactly where it needed to be. The November air was cold, but the day had a clear sky that made everything feel sharp and clean.

Service was friendly and quick. The room had an easy rhythm — warm decor, high stools, tight tables. A space used well. Fun without being loud, relaxed without slowing down. Sometimes you stumble onto a place that matches your mood perfectly. This was one of those.

We shared tacos, Nonna's meatballs, and chicken dumplings. Every plate landed. Simple dishes done right, seasoned with confidence. Nothing heavy, nothing forced — the kind of food that keeps a conversation moving and a day on track.

Back End fit the afternoon. A hidden spot in a quiet town, found by accident on a long trip. The kind of place you remember because it met you exactly where you were.”

“This place is amazing, everyone works together, they are all happy working about, when i say work together i mean there's no barrier on to who is taking what table, if something needs to be done then it's done. The several times I've been there Freddy, Chris, Anthony, Ricardo, Juan, Jose, Nefty, Brian, Jennifer, William, and of Course DAvid! They all rock, they all work so hard and treat the guests well and make us all feel well at home.”

“I have not dined in at Wonder, but I have ordered from one of their restaurants, Hanu Poke, using Uber Eats many times, and the portions are always very good and the food is always fresh and tasty. My only issue is that whenever I order poke, it always seems like they are out of ingredients, and I find myself not ordering exactly what I wanted because I have to substitute so many things. Even at times and days of the week when you’d think they wouldn’t be that busy, it seems like there is always something that they are running out of here. I understand that in having so many different options in one place, it can be difficult to keep ingredients in stock, but oftentimes the amount of food that they do not offer on certain days is very disappointing.”

“Great little spot to pick up dinner to go. Portion size for single burger very reasonable. Had mine 'golden style' (mustard fried) very flavorful. Will definitely stop here again the next time I'm passing through New Canaan. Only demerit is that on a Friday evening at 6pm they were out of veggie burgers, which made my dining companion sad. She had the chicken sandwich instead and it was moist and delicious, but she would have been happier with the veggie burger.”

“Update March 2026. Highly recommend! Back here to celebrate and it was delicious. From the drinks to the tasty shrimp and liver toast appetizers to the shrimp truffle salad and steak. Everything was delicious. The warm chocolate cake was a great finale. I will be back!

What a treat! They have completely renovated this space, making it warm and welcoming. We came on a Monday night, and we're immediately greeted and given a table. Our server did a great job answering questions and giving suggestions. We shared a delicious chopped salad and ordered our main dishes. I got the scallops, and my friend ordered the Chilean sea bass. Both were cooked to perfection. Our drinks were amazing, especially the Gallop and Glow. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for amazing food and top-notch customer service. I'm looking forward to my next meal..3/1- just added the Waveny roll and our amazing drinks. Still the best!”

The handsome young man behind the counter was patient as I squinted at the flavors, though I had no idea what “cookie dough” or “rocky road” meant. In the end, I picked vanilla—simple, safe. But the moment that first spoonful melted on my tongue, I understood why folks go on about this treat. It was creamy, sweet, and softer than I imagined, like a little cloud of happiness.

I sat by the window, savoring every bite, watching children run by with their cones dripping in the sun. Maybe I waited too long to have ice cream, but I can tell you this—it won’t be my last time. Five stars, with all the joy of a new discovery”
