“We stopped by BreadsNBakes in Pound Ridge for some pastries and a simple question — did they sell King Arthur or another high-quality flour for a sourdough starter? Kate not only took the time to chat with us, but actually disappeared into the back for several minutes and returned with a container of starter for us to take home. She treated it like no big deal, but to us it was such a kind and thoughtful gesture — the sort of small-town generosity you don’t often find in larger cities. Kate went above and beyond, and we left not only with a starter, but with a big smile and a genuine appreciation for her warmth.”

“I very seldom order take-out - but I tried LaFamilia for pizza when they first opened in Pound Ridge - and was not impressed. However, a few weeks ago I found myself without side dishes for Sunday dinner - and I ordered salads, broccoli rabe and a few other items and they were excellent. Last night I ordered two entrees and they were outstanding.”

“What a great place! I got take out today: garlic naan and butter chicken. A treat, with delicious, flavorful chicken and a cream sauce that was not overpowering, but just right in the use of spices. As an aficionado of Indian food, this is truly delicious food. The restaurant is immaculate and decorated beautifully. Five stars, given without hesitation. Treat yourself and go there!”

I knew the food would be delicious as always but I was particularly pleased with the beautiful presentation. Sam was also a pleasure to work with as he guided me to the selections. While party platters don’t surface readily on the website I wanted to highlight their availability and endorse them as the perfect offering as an appetizer or even a main course. “My husband and I had an incredible dining experience here. We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Chettinad, and the meat sampler, and everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken kebabs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. Every dish was perfectly cooked and so satisfying. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun — so, so good and the perfect way to end the meal. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We can’t wait to go back!”

“If you are looking for top-tier seafood in Westchester, La Mer Seafood is a local gem. It’s clear from the moment you walk in that they truly know their fish.

I stopped in for lunch and had an amazing Poke Bowl. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, vibrant, and perfectly prepared—easily one of the best lunch options in Armonk.
Beyond the prepared food, the service is what sets this place apart. The owner is a tremendous person who is clearly passionate about quality. He personally prepared and recommended the Ahi Tuna steaks for me, and they were spectacular.

Whether you are looking for a quick, healthy lunch or the highest-grade fresh fish to cook at home, I can’t recommend La Mer enough. Support this local business—you won’t be disappointed!”
