During my visit, I ordered the Mapo tofu as a vegan option, which served as a perfect test for the quality of the vegetables used in the kitchen. The produce was remarkably fresh and well-prepared, showcasing a level of detail often missing from standard fare. While the Szechuan seasoning was not quite as numbing as I desired, this profile is somewhat expected for this region and did not detract from the overall high-quality experience. The flavors were faithful to authentic techniques while remaining accessible, proving that the kitchen team is extremely knowledgeable.
Bottom Line: Tzen offers a sophisticated and flavorful menu that justifies the premium cost through sheer quality. If you are looking for an elevated, authentic vegan meal with fresh, premium ingredients, this is an excellent choice; however, if you are strictly budget-conscious or seeking the intense, numbing heat found in traditional Szechuan provinces, you may find the seasoning and price point a bit deficient for your specific needs. I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try.”

“We go to the location in Queensbury, New York for the gluten free sandwiches very often. We drive from 45 minutes away just to get the sandwiches so I think that says a lot! Nice staff, great store hours (open late). The area really needed a 24 hour store. It’s doing a lot for the community!”

I had an excellently crafted cappuccino and decided to try the gluten-free almond cookies (come in a package of 4). For those of you who are gluten-free or gluten sensitive, you know how difficult it is to find that perfectly delicious, made with love, delicacy. These are out of this world and have a full almond taste and are wonderfully chewy. A highly recommended respite for anyone looking for that perfect spot to enjoy your coffee or tea, and dive into a delectably home made perfection.”

“My husband and I had an incredible dining experience here. We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Chettinad, and the meat sampler, and everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken kebabs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. Every dish was perfectly cooked and so satisfying. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun — so, so good and the perfect way to end the meal. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We can’t wait to go back!”
