“Took a drive to check out their Westport location. If you love pasta then this is the place to go. Most restaurants pasta is a side dish but here it’s highly focused on. Not many restaurants make their own pasta these days but everything you have here is made here.The Gnocchettes are fried instead of boiled and served with their drinkable sauce. The sauce should be on the drink menu in my opinion.Their focaccia bread is a must with more drinkable sauce.I got the Duck Ragù as seen on Guy Fieri’s DDD. This dish was loaded with flavor and not what you expect, it’s a must try.I also got the “make your own” tiramisu which has got to be the tastiest I’ve ever had. If people were not in the restaurant I would have picked the bowl.”

“We have driven by Finalmente 100 times and always planned a visit. Finally made it there Sat night for a birthday. Unbelievable food! Delicious salad to start with excellent bread and an olive spread. We had the primavera pasta and the cod and shared. Both dishes were absolutely exceptional. The cod was probably the tastiest I have ever experienced. Excellent generous portions and attentive professional service. Reasonable and solid wine list. Best part of the experience ----- playing Italian arias!! A bit cramped --- tiny restaurant that could use another 200 sq ft, but I am already thinking about my next visit. Halibut next!!!”

“This was our first time dining at The Whelk! The food was so flavorful and fulfilling! We started with chilled shrimp, roasted oysters, and the deviled eggs. We split the broccoli and fish/chips and it was very savory. My mouth was watering as I took every bite! We also had a tropical mezcal drink and it was absolutely delicious. The almond cake and chamomile tea was top notch. Our waitress Nicole was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely return!!”

“The food here was incredible. I ordered 3 rolls of sushi and miso soup for lunch to work and ordered extra food for dinner later. The sushi and soup was great. And the Korean fried chicken and fried rice and chicken and broccoli I ordered for my partner and I for dinner was sooooo good and it sat in my fridge all day at work and was reheated hours later and I was still blown away. I can't wait to order from here again!”

“You need to visit this spot ASAP!! It was our first time having Korean BBQ and definitely wont be our last time, it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We got the Butcher's Feast for 2 and it came with 4 different types of meats, A5 Wagyu (it literally melted in our mouth, the best steak ever.. I am still thinking about it), Bulgogi, Galbi, and Filet Mignon. All of the steak was such high quality meat and so delicious. Simon and his staff came to the table and cooked the meat for us and seasoned everything perfectly and cooked the meat to perfection. The meal came with a variety of traditional Korean banchan and the fried rice was delicious and they even showed us exactly how to make a Korean lettuce wrap. We also got the pork bao buns and fire man roll which were both also amazing!! My husband got sake and I tried the lychee martini and then a ginger martini which were both so tasty! Simon and his staff were very welcoming and SO sweet, they kept coming to our table to make sure everything was good! Gogi will now be one of our go to date night spots. It was honestly one of the best meals and experiences we’ve had in a while! We can't wait to go back! :)”

Doug reminded me a lot of Christopher Walken with a take no prisoners mentality. He takes great care of their customers and their staff. Just an instant Westport classic.”

“The Cottage has quickly become one of our new favorite restaurants in Fairfield county! We had a cozy date night here enjoying our seasonal dishes! We loved the green goddess dressing and brioche croutons on our “Cottage Salad”. The wagyu brisket bao buns were also a highlight, and it was our first time trying squid ink aioli, which really exceeded our expectations! My fiancé ordered the Berkshire pork tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and even came with a knödel (similar to matzo balls), which we thought was a great pairing! Their hand-cut tagliatelle was exceptional with lamb, labne, and a touch of mint. Desserts were equally as amazing as the rest of the meal! The broken meyer lemon tart was topped with a thick layer of meringue, and the devil’s food cake was topped with a bourbon caramel and paired with espresso mascarpone. The cocktails hit the mark as well, and I appreciated that they had a section for low/no alcohol drinks! Our experience at The Cottage was definitely memorable, and we highly recommend adding them to your list of restaurants to try in Fairfield county!”

“Easy to make a reservation on a Friday night. The Hostess sat us right away and our Server was punctual in greeting us and taking drink orders. The drinks were well-balanced, not too sweet. We specifically enjoyed the White Bronco. The deviled eggs, pickles vegetables, chicken wings (chipotle honey), hush puppies, and chopped salad with chicken were all delicious. “Zucca is an incredible woman-owned business and a must-try in Westport thanks to their incredible food, beautiful ambiance, accommodating staff and a particularly top-notch events team. I can't recommend Zucca enough, having been there for brunch and hosting a private event there this past weekend. Something that sets the Zucca brunch experience apart from start to finish is the VIBRANCE. From delicious food full of fresh produce like our excellent frittata and french toast, fun mimosa flights perfect to celebrate with friends, and the super unique wallpaper, brunch at Zucca is a colorful experience through and through. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous (even the bathroom!) and the food is next level. I'm dying to go back to try the pastas, and I loved their simple but delicious caesar salad at my event. The staff was also so accommodating. Zucca's INCREDIBLE owner, Kirsten, is the reason my bridal shower was such a success. Kirsten's level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine passion shines through from the minute you contact her, not to mention how reasonably priced their events menu is. Plus, a convenient location for guests traveling on the train! Kirsten is the reason to book your event at Zucca. She not only assisted with event design, decor, set up, and breakdown, but also kindly accepted all of our questions and was a constant (but never annoying) presence throughout our event. They even dried individual slices of citrus to bring my Pinterest board dreams of a mimosa bar to life... again, talk about the DETAILS! Booking at Zucca means your guests are simply guaranteed to have an incredible experience, and the attendees of my bridal shower couldn't stop raving about every element, from the food, to the ambiance, to the absolutely amazing staff.”
“My wife and I ordered take-out from Tacombi. We had been to one in Jersey city a long time ago and recalled it was quite delicious. So we were eager to try it when it came to Westport. To our delight the food was delicious. I had a Birria Taco Plato, I thought it was flavorful the beef did not disappoint maybe wish there was more. I like how they package it for take-out. My wife had the fish taco and shrimp taco. I tried shrimp taco, it had a very bold flavor that catchs the back sides of the tounge (highly recommend). We also ordered corn esquites, best way to eat corn. Their Totopos (tortilla chips) are addicting nice crunch goes well with guacamole. We also chicken quesidilla, which was also pleasant maybe could have used more cheese. I look forward to dining in as the weather gets better.”

This was also the first time I had a hot fresh cup of coffee in a restaurant. It appears this is a popular place for friends and families to go. I am telling my family and friends the food is magnificent.Vegetarian options: I am vegan. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were perfectly done and very tasty. The portion was large so I was pleased about taking some home. The kale in the salad was the most tender I ever tasted. The cranberries were slightly sweet, and there was avocado included in the Mediterranean Salad also, I added some of the Brussel Sprouts to the salad it was a perfect dish! My husband got a shrimp dish he enjoyed. The dessert was tasty and not overly sweet, I had a warm apple tart with Carmel sauce.My. husband got the chocolate Lava cake and loved it. The level of sweetness was perfect not over done. I had no guilt breaking my diet to celebrate our wedding anniversary! “Plummeting temperatures, snow, slush and the relentless cold are unbearable but homey Yuki Kitchen provides soul-soothing Asian comfort foods to beat the winter blues. The Owners, a Japanese-Korean couple, serves all sorts of uplifting Asian comfort foods - as though your (Asian) grandmothers home cooked them- the Beef Bulgogi, Banchan, and Lettuce Wraps and Sizzling Beef and Shrimp Bento are my favorites. Ken, the Co-Owner of Yuki Kitchen, was the Sushi Chef at Fjord Fish Market, the popular seafood market that provides the highest quality responsibly-sourced seafood available with locations in Greenwich, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Larchmont, and Brooklyn, for many years. The freshly-made sushi are simple, flavorful but not a must but the Rainbow Kimbap (lovely cooked Korean Sushi) is, always a joy to eat! I would definitely be coming back for more of the Bulgogi; Beef and Shrimp Bento; Bibimbap Rice Bowl; Buddha's Delight, an outstanding Chinese vegetarian dish that features tasty colorful vegetables, bouncy glass noodles and fried braised tofu; Karaage Fried Chicken, especially with all the irresistible sauces: Roasted Garlic Mayo, Yum Yum, and Gochujang; Kimbap; and wonderful Banchan: cabbage kimchee, chunky cucumber kimchee, and white daikon paper (Ssam-Mu).”

She made sure cocktail hour, the main course, and dessert were absolutely perfect!The passed hors d'oeuvres set the tone perfectly with individual charcuterie cups, beef kafta on pita with tzatziki, traditional Italian arancini, and mini Kobe beef sliders.The main course had our guests thoroughly impressed, from the flavorful Filet au Poivre to the succulent Boneless Marinated Chicken Breasts, to the flavorful Shrimp Scampi. We also had Pasta alla Ruota- pasta that gets tossed in a Parmigiano Regianno Wheel where each piece of pasta is perfectly coated in cheese. For our sides we had grilled asparagus, glazed organic carrots, roasted Yukon Gold & sweet potato wedges and a classic Caesar salad.Patricia's seamless coordination with the bakery for our wedding cake was the icing on the cake. The selection of miniature Italian pastries was a huge hit, only a couple pastries remained at the end of the night!Our guests raved about our wedding food, making our celebration even more special. I hadn’t been around for a bit and stopped in after the recent remodel and was shocked how good it looked (though I don’t remember it looking bad before),but these guys really seem to be the best deli in the area. Everything on the menu I’ve had so far is great…I just wish I had a bigger appetite to taste it all. The team is nice, the spot is gorgeous, and the food is some of the best in the area, and its reasonably priced. “Ok, so, I feel like I have the pedigree to review a diner. Growing up on Long Island with many late nights diner meals and even parked cars at one. I can say that this diner is extremely solid! First, cleanliness creates "ambiance" in a diner. It's roomy, not cramped and cluttered, which is nice. Plenty of helpful staff. The food has an above diner quality at least in the patty melt, fries with gravy (the gold standard test of a diner IMHO). The PM cooked perfectly, good quality and delish! They serve theirs with bacon, if you it like that way, but, I go for OG patty melt. My dining mate (nameless to protect the innocent) had not one, but, two Belgian waffles. Excellent. I think this place is great and next time I will explore the menu a bit. They even have mixed drinks, beer and wine, btw. Go and enjoy! Oh, I have to try the milkshake too!”

“We had an amazing time at the granola bar! The food was very fresh and flavorful! If you like a latte packed with different flavors you should definitely try the Turkish latte. The cashew lemon berry parfait was fantastic. The yogurt was creamy and the granola is literally no joke! I loved the steak and chimi sandwich. The avocado aioli was smooth and all the flavors meshed well together and I love that you get a side salad with your meal. The staff is very friendly and attentive and do their best to get you seated as soon as possible. It is a small shop but was worth the little wait for a table! “The Cottage has quickly become one of our new favorite restaurants in Fairfield county! We had a cozy date night here enjoying our seasonal dishes! We loved the green goddess dressing and brioche croutons on our “Cottage Salad”. The wagyu brisket bao buns were also a highlight, and it was our first time trying squid ink aioli, which really exceeded our expectations! My fiancé ordered the Berkshire pork tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and even came with a knödel (similar to matzo balls), which we thought was a great pairing! Their hand-cut tagliatelle was exceptional with lamb, labne, and a touch of mint. Desserts were equally as amazing as the rest of the meal! The broken meyer lemon tart was topped with a thick layer of meringue, and the devil’s food cake was topped with a bourbon caramel and paired with espresso mascarpone. The cocktails hit the mark as well, and I appreciated that they had a section for low/no alcohol drinks! Our experience at The Cottage was definitely memorable, and we highly recommend adding them to your list of restaurants to try in Fairfield county!”

This was also the first time I had a hot fresh cup of coffee in a restaurant. It appears this is a popular place for friends and families to go. I am telling my family and friends the food is magnificent.Vegetarian options: I am vegan. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were perfectly done and very tasty. The portion was large so I was pleased about taking some home. The kale in the salad was the most tender I ever tasted. The cranberries were slightly sweet, and there was avocado included in the Mediterranean Salad also, I added some of the Brussel Sprouts to the salad it was a perfect dish! My husband got a shrimp dish he enjoyed. The dessert was tasty and not overly sweet, I had a warm apple tart with Carmel sauce.My. husband got the chocolate Lava cake and loved it. “Zucca is an incredible woman-owned business and a must-try in Westport thanks to their incredible food, beautiful ambiance, accommodating staff and a particularly top-notch events team. I can't recommend Zucca enough, having been there for brunch and hosting a private event there this past weekend. Something that sets the Zucca brunch experience apart from start to finish is the VIBRANCE. From delicious food full of fresh produce like our excellent frittata and french toast, fun mimosa flights perfect to celebrate with friends, and the super unique wallpaper, brunch at Zucca is a colorful experience through and through. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous (even the bathroom!) and the food is next level. I'm dying to go back to try the pastas, and I loved their simple but delicious caesar salad at my event. The staff was also so accommodating. Zucca's INCREDIBLE owner, Kirsten, is the reason my bridal shower was such a success. Kirsten's level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine passion shines through from the minute you contact her, not to mention how reasonably priced their events menu is. The Owners, a Japanese-Korean couple, serves all sorts of uplifting Asian comfort foods - as though your (Asian) grandmothers home cooked them- the Beef Bulgogi, Banchan, and Lettuce Wraps and Sizzling Beef and Shrimp Bento are my favorites. Ken, the Co-Owner of Yuki Kitchen, was the Sushi Chef at Fjord Fish Market, the popular seafood market that provides the highest quality responsibly-sourced seafood available with locations in Greenwich, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Larchmont, and Brooklyn, for many years. The freshly-made sushi are simple, flavorful but not a must but the Rainbow Kimbap (lovely cooked Korean Sushi) is, always a joy to eat! “Popped in here while in the area as we needed a few sandwiches to go. We got there just before noon and it was so crowded. Thankfully there seem to be a method to the madness and we didn't have to wait too long. Lots of goodies as you would expect in a typical deli, but they had some unique sandwiches which sounded really interesting. I got an Italian style hero with lots of meats and banana peppers. It was delicious!The BLT was absolutely enormous, and I did not expect a triple-decker. Location was also super easy to find right off of Main Road in a strip with parking right outside. If I were in the area, I would definitely pop in again.”

She made sure cocktail hour, the main course, and dessert were absolutely perfect!The passed hors d'oeuvres set the tone perfectly with individual charcuterie cups, beef kafta on pita with tzatziki, traditional Italian arancini, and mini Kobe beef sliders.The main course had our guests thoroughly impressed, from the flavorful Filet au Poivre to the succulent Boneless Marinated Chicken Breasts, to the flavorful Shrimp Scampi. We also had Pasta alla Ruota- pasta that gets tossed in a Parmigiano Regianno Wheel where each piece of pasta is perfectly coated in cheese. “You need to visit this spot ASAP!! It was our first time having Korean BBQ and definitely wont be our last time, it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We got the Butcher's Feast for 2 and it came with 4 different types of meats, A5 Wagyu (it literally melted in our mouth, the best steak ever.. I am still thinking about it), Bulgogi, Galbi, and Filet Mignon. All of the steak was such high quality meat and so delicious. Simon and his staff came to the table and cooked the meat for us and seasoned everything perfectly and cooked the meat to perfection. The meal came with a variety of traditional Korean banchan and the fried rice was delicious and they even showed us exactly how to make a Korean lettuce wrap. We also got the pork bao buns and fire man roll which were both also amazing!! My husband got sake and I tried the lychee martini and then a ginger martini which were both so tasty! Simon and his staff were very welcoming and SO sweet, they kept coming to our table to make sure everything was good! Gogi will now be one of our go to date night spots. It was honestly one of the best meals and experiences we’ve had in a while! We can't wait to go back! :)”

“I ordered delivery, and haven't had the full dining in experience yet, so this review is strictly around the pizza.Although New Haven Apizza will always be my number one, I'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza. They're completely different beasts so I won't even try to compare them.Detroit style, for those who haven't had it, is cooked in a type of sheet pan, with crispy cheese that burns (in a good way) along the edges of the crust where it meets the pan. The sauce is typically in bands across the top of the cheese in a traditional Detroit pie.For my first time, I tried a classic Detroit style pie with pepperoni. The little pepperonis that curl into cups are a critical component of this style of pizza, and Emmy's passed the test there!The pizza was very good, and definitely Detroit style. The crust although thick (which is normal for this style) was nice and light and similar to focaccia as it should be.The sauce was excellent, no complaints there!I do have two minor quibbles that IMO are keeping this pizza from Detroit greatness:There is not enough of the crispy cheese on the outer crust. The edges should be darker with a lot more cheese in the equation. This is easily remedied, so I'm begging you to nail the best part of Detroit pizza!The bottom of the crust is also a bit blonde for this style of pizza. I'm not sure if it's the pans used, the oven temperature, or the cook time, but again IMO, authentic Detroit style should have more color on the bottom.For those of you familiar with Lions, Tigers, and Squares in NYC, I would put Emmy's a bit below them due to the two differences highlighted above.Anyways, it's great to have Detroit style pizza in the area! The pies IMO fall just short of greatness, but could easily get there with a few tweaks.I'm looking forward to checking it out in person when time permits.”

We both agreed, never tried food as delicious as a bartaco’s.The Poké bowl is delicious, but my personal preference is the pork belly taco. I get six every time I go there.Fun fact, if you get the press, leches cake, they’ll actually give you a lid to close the jar if you don’t finish all of it. I dream about that cake sometimes.Also, I work in the industry, and every chef I’ve ever met, has good things to say about that place.”

It's not a traditional ceviche (there are other great options including Yellowfin Ceviche if that's what you're looking for), but more like a Hamachi Crudo - sashimi slices of this young Amberjack marinated with mandarin oranges, radishes, and citrus. I don't see it on the online menu so do yourself a favor and ask for it.”

To our delight the food was delicious. I had a Birria Taco Plato, I thought it was flavorful the beef did not disappoint maybe wish there was more. I like how they package it for take-out. My wife had the fish taco and shrimp taco. I tried shrimp taco, it had a very bold flavor that catchs the back sides of the tounge (highly recommend). We also ordered corn esquites, best way to eat corn. Their Totopos (tortilla chips) are addicting nice crunch goes well with guacamole.
