“Had a wonderful Saturday brunch here. After we ordered and grabbed a table, I noticed the salads on the table next to ours had wheat croutons. When our food came, my boyfriend's brioche was wheat, as was my sourdough toast. It was unexpected but everything was absolutely delicious. The breads we had did not taste like normal wheat to me - they lacked the heavy, earthy mouthfeel that wheat usually has. The portions were generous and everything tasted super fresh. The house made sausage was perfectly greasy with whole peppercorns embedded in the meat. The hash brown was dense and buttery. The char on the asparagus was beautiful. I read their website after brunch, and saw they only use non-commercially milled wheats and heritage grains. That explains why the baked goods were so good. We took home a chocolate croissant and a strawberry rhubarb pie and they were both divine. I was surprised at how good the wheat tasted, especially the croissant which was light and airy. I didn't know wheat could taste so good! Will definitely return to this cute little spot. Parking is limited which is the only downside.“
“Cannot say enough good things about our experience at The Porch at Christie's. The space is beautiful and inviting, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy their endless supply of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, etc.. After ordering our food we started chatting with Andrea, the owner, who was at a nearby counter prepping cookies and she could not have been kinder!! Such a great experience and we cannot wait to go back!“
“I happened upon this bakery while I was at the Sunday Fairfield Farmer's Market. I was lucky enough to order a strawberry rhubarb muffin! It was sooo delicious. This weekend I made a special trip and tried the blueberry muffin. Really delicious! Can't wait to more of their offerings.“
“I’ve been trying to find an allergy friendly bakery that actually takes cross contamination precautions seriously and the cake box exceeded my expectations. “I recently signed up for Pierluigis Sourdough Bread making class at the Fatto an Mano Bakery in Westport, CT and it was a 5 star experience all the way. I felt it was taught in an organized way so that home bakers could feel educated and empowered to make beautiful artisanal bread at home. We learned all the different stages of making sourdough and we were able to get our hands on some dough and learn the techniques from the master himself. He is a gentleman!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!“
