“Very expensive but good ice cream! The employees have gotten friendlier over time but the tip system is odd. Wouldn't consider giving a 40% tip, i can understand a couple dollars. Will go back if i want to spend a lot of money on ice cream and in a jam.“
“Just like I remembered this place as a kid. My dad took me here after little league games. Soft ice cream cones, chocolate dipped cones, huge milk shakes. Was back in Westport for a 50th high school reunion and was really pleased to see this place still there. With change happening at record speed these days it's refreshing to see some things never change. Thank you Carvels, loved your place, never change“
“This place had amazing gelato! The service was also really good and it was a cute little shop. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a wide variety of fresh gelato. There was also only only flavor containing gluten, which I really appreciated that the staff knew instantly what I meant when I asked if any flavors were gluten free.“
“Great food, however, is definitely a little pricey. The food is made from quality ingredients and is delicious. The meat and buns are amazingly fresh. The fries are awesome, too, especially with any of the offered toppings. The wait isn't usually too bad, and when it's nice outside, there's also outdoor seating available. It's definitely a place with some good food ?.Parking: Easy wide parking lot with a good amount of spaces available.Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a child-friendly restaurant and has a children's menu.“
“I've tried both the chocolates and the ice cream, and both are absolutely delicious. When we heard they were out of peanut brittle, my friend was tearing up. That's how good it is. Plus the staff are really nice and helpful! And even the bathroom is clean, they really did a good job with this. I would definitely recommend this place!“
“I love this place so many options, themed sundaes, and the atmosphere is very positive!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and dairy free Italian ice.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly fun decorations and stuff.Wheelchair accessibility: There are some tables without legs that leave room“
“Tasty gelato. Nice variety of flavors. Price is as expected for New Canaan.Staff were young, but attentive. Only has a few small tables inside. Seems primarily set up to have you take your treat and go. But they also serve coffee, espresso, americano, and a nice affogato, and will give you a proper cup if you tell them you are ‘eating in.’Note: Tips are cash only.“
“If I had to choose between going here or any ice cream shop nearby, this is definitely the choice. I had a vanilla soft serve on a cone with cherry dip with rainbow sprinkles. Great flavor and their cherry dip taste fresh and had a nice crisp. Definitely the best ice cream shop around!“
“OBSESSED with this place!!! I crave these paletas every day. They’re as light or decadent as you want. I loveee the toasted almond with almonds and peanut butter with peanuts and cookies and cream and the fruity ones… yum!! They’re all amazing. The paleta place near me in nyc closed so I have to stock up whenever I’m in ct! Cutest store and nicest service! 11/10“
“Small store front but polite staff. Would be great to have more then 6 options as this week was son’s birthday and he didn’t like any of the options so ended up having to go elsewhere. The silk pie brownie is to die for we’d be in everyday if it was available.“
“A great cup of coffee served in a welcoming and eclectic cafe.I ordered a Caramel Cafe Latte and a Cheese Danish and paid just over $9 for both. The coffee was hot, well brewed, and had the perfect amount of caramel. The cheese danish was also great, but the added sugar on the pastry didn’t seem necessary.I loved the artwork on display and the homage to elephants. The mock fireplace was a nice touch but to me, the black furniture and the gray walls felt a tad stale. And while there was plenty of seating, I would have preferred some extra light while enjoying my book. This space is well worth the delicious coffee and the parking fiasco. I’m excited to come back and hopefully nosh on their delicious gelato.“
“Best Family-owned business in Norwalk! Great people, great food, nice place to sit and eat.I HIGHLY recommend their chili dogs, chili burger, anything with chili on itParking: Parking lot is right behind the building. Plenty of spaces to park.“
“This is my favorite frozen yogurt place!! They always have multiple different flavors and they change them up too. Many different toppings. Maybe because it’s right in the middle of the post road in Fairfield they are ALWAYS busy. Lots of teen/tween kids, usually we take the frozen yogurt to go so we don’t have to deal with all that. Tip: if you’re taking the ice cream to go, we have about a 20 min ride home, use one of the ice cream dividers in the cup!! For some reason they don’t melt as fast.“
“Love this place, love all their different teas. But most of all I love their vegan/GF banana bread. I travel here on purpose just for this. It's a small and quiet little bistro but an adorable, cozy place. Everyone here is always friendly. Only thing parking at times is a bit difficult. But that won't stop me from stopping here.“
“What a nice place! I saw eight flavors on tap and more topping options than I've ever seen before. I filled my cup with the watermelon (had a sherbert texture) and the vanilla bean (closer to a smooth, ice cream texture—very creamy.) Both were good—the watermelon was amazing! Tasted really juicy, sweet, and refreshing. I added some fresh fruit, some brownie bites, and some rainbow sprinkles. The self-serve toppings dispenders are very tidy user-friendly. I couldn't believe how fresh, fragrant, and flavorful all the toppings were, especially since they have so many options! The shop is bright, spacious, and immaculate. I appreciated that they offered me a lid at the counter, since I'd planned to take my cup home for dessert, but I'd love to sit in the "parlour" to eat or take a stroll around the neighborhood while I eat. Thanks, Swirl! I'll be back for more watermelon!“
“All I can say is WOW!!! There is definitely no place like Crystals \\u0026 Cones! It's a one of a kind experience for all of your senses! From the decor and charming gifts, the entire family will LOVE this place! Did I mention there was edible glitter in my waffle cone??“
“It’s my home away from home. Yummy food and fabulous people!Vegetarian options: Veggie montage , veggie burgers, tomato mozzarella pesto wedge hot are my favoritesParking: Parking in lot next door or all along streetKid-friendliness: Lots of ice cream and kiddie favorites food. Lots of high chairs and seating.“
“They have so many variety of options that you have to check their menu before standing at the window or you'll feel rushed. The scenery changed too, a lot better. There's seats available to sit and a sense of organization with the order line and pick up line. It's my children's preferred summer (sometimes even in the winter) place to go for ice cream or shakes.“
“Great selection for dairy free ice cream / sorbet - 4 flavors, and 18 flavors of regular hard ice cream plus 4 soft serve options, shakes, cones and all the yummy ice cream things! Staff was sweet and friendly.Dietary restrictions: 4 dairy free sorbet flavors.“
“Was passing through CT on the way home to Jersey when I decided to ditch the traffic on 95 around Bridgeport. This by far was one of the better decisions I made this century. Timothy's doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside for that matter, but like my mama said, "Never judge a book by its cover." Timothy's not only makes some of the best homemade ice cream I've ever had, but they also make homemade whipped cream. Yes, you read that correctly-homemade whipped cream. I had the Oreo ice cream and it was amazing. Also tried the toasted almond and it was out of this world.Everything tasted so fresh and it's no surprise this place has been around for decades!“
“Place was nice and clean. Jimmy and Malachi were super helpful even with us coming 5 min before closing they were of the utmost help figuring out what cookie to get. We ended up getting the chocolate chip and the one that looks like a sugar cookie. Soo good. Definitely stopping by again!!“
“My first Bubbly’s Bubble Tea. I was so excited! Got a slushy with cherry bobas. It was amazing!! So delicious and refreshing. I loved my slushy! I got a new favorite drink now and going back for more this weekend! Thank you Bubbly’s. You are a wonderful addition to Wall Street.“
“Jahniya provided the most exceptional service and encouraged me on getting out my comfort zone to try new flavors! She in fact did not let me down! Her bright spirit is exactly what any work environment needs! She truly deserves a raise, my ice cream was given to me in almost the blink of an eye with all the right portions. 10/10 will be returning to try more of the recommendations from all the delightful staff . Definitely get the brown sugar cookie dough brownie! The flavors are impeccable and will leave you wanting more. Jahniya sure has the right taste buds for ice cream!“
“I feel so bad for this place and the family that owns it because it’s a very good product but they are right next to Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shop which moved to this new location and has a very loyal local following. This place has no decor inside and only a couple tables. There are only 2 tables outside. Meanwhile Deborah Ann’s in like a nightclub in comparison with a high-end interior and just an all around better build-out. Their patio was packed! It’s just unfortunate because Gopher ice cream is very good but I will be surprised if they are around in a year.“
“If you find yourself wandering through Norwalk with a hankering for something sweet, Sweet Ashley's Ice Cream is a must-visit. Tucked away on East Avenue, this charming spot offers a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with an array of vibrant flavors, but the one that stands out is their Maple Walnut Ice Cream. It's a delightful treat that boasts the perfect balance of rich maple goodness and the satisfying crunch of walnuts. Each scoop is a testament to the quality ingredients and care that go into their homemade batches. But Sweet Ashley's isn't just about excellent ice cream; it's about the experience. The staff are warm and welcoming, always ready to offer a sample or a smile. The shop's ambiance, with its quaint decor, makes every visit feel special. For anyone with a sweet tooth, Sweet Ashley's Ice Cream in Norwalk, CT, with their unbeatable Maple Walnut, is a destination that can't be overlooked. It’s more than just a scoop – it’s a scoop of happiness.“
“We came here after another place was closed, we had planned to come here while visiting the area anyway. I was shocked the ice cream was so delicious, seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had. My son who usually with a big cone ends up handing it off to one of us, ate the entire thing. If in the area I'd recommend this place over any of the others.“
“I actually loved this place. The owner served us at the counter and was super sweet and funny. He offered us all the options of pastries that he had and told us about the ones we hadn't heard of before. Such a cute little place, definitely recommend.“
“I’ve been ordering Thai Iced Teas from here for quite sometime. One thing I can say is, I have never been disappointed! Every time I order I have consistent flavor and satisfaction! This is something hard to come across, plus they offer OATMILK! What is there not to love ? Thank you for these tast and delicious treats !“
“By far one of the best gelato places I’ve been to. The girls who work here are very nice and this combo flavor we went for was pure perfection! I got the milk chocolate brownie with cappuccino chip and my husband went for the peanut butter cup and cappuccino chip mix. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Secure yourself a seat outside on a sunny day. Worth the walk from the train.“
