“Straight As for Tengda!! This restaurant is our consistent go-to for delicious Pan-Asian food and sushi in Westport & FF County. The ingredients are always fresh and the taste never disappoints our foodie palettes & high-standards. A big bonus for our family is that the menu offers plenty of Gluten Free options and the kitchen takes food allergies seriously and attentively. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxing and inviting. The owners are gracious hosts and the service is always pleasant. Definitely give this place a visit if you already haven’t!!!

“We arrived one hour earlier than our reservation by mistake. We were seated promptly at the bar and although did not have a reservation for omakase we were accommodated. This was the best sushi we have had in Connecticut. The fish was super fresh and every item was delicious and unique. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The portions were very generous and we ended up bringing some food home, which is the first. Highly recommend it.  This was the best sushi we have had in Connecticut.“

“The food is wonderful , the atmosphere is great and cozy ! BUT the service sucks! We were there 10 minutes and I had to go to the bar just to get a couple of glasses of water . Otherwise once they saw that we finally got service and the rest of the meal was good. And no it wasn’t packed only 3 other tables with people when we were there .“

“Was watching one piece. And OTama started giving dumplings away. Naturally needed now dumplings for lunch. We ended here. And instead of asking for a plate of dumplings each we decided to ask for several and share .
Everything g was delicious. By the end ordered some sesame balls, and I was expecting a different flavor. Really happy surprise new flavor to my list.

“Taproot catered our wedding last year, and it was absolutely amazing!!! We knew we wanted them from the start and actually picked our wedding date based on their availability. Greatest and easiest decision ever. Everyone at the wedding, including the vendors and staff working the event, said it was the best food they had ever had. Taproot never disappoints! “After my wife and I were married, this was the first place we went to eat the following day before our honeymoon trip. So We've been coming here for 7 years. 7 years of great food and great people with great attitudes and great service! Very attentive and friendly. Its rare to find a place that consistently hits the bullseye with food and service. Also, its a nice vibe. Music is at a nice volume so you can hear the person across from you but also bop your head and tap ypur feet at the same time. Satisfaction is always guaranteed here. We love it and we are sure that you will too!“

“Great spot to meet friends or take your date out for upbeat vibe, delicious fresh cocktails and scrumptious food... You must be adventurous to enjoy this menu... it's Asian Fusion with yummy combinations of food I would not attempt to make at home. I particularly love the Tofu crab pockets, the shaved broccoli salad, the marinated cucumber salad and the yellowtail sashimi..just to name a few. It's ideal to go with people who like to share so you can try a bunch of small plates and sample a lot! Kawa Ni continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Fairfield County.“
